I was thinking about this for long time, especially when so many festive seasons are around.
We often judge ourselves too harshly, comparing our lives to idealized versions we see around us.
We compare our today with who we once were or with the edited snapshots of others. Yet, we seldom see the real struggles behind those smiling faces.
Our relationship with food has become a battleground, filled with unrealistic expectations and restrictive diets. We obsess over portion control and daily weigh-ins, believing they hold the key to happiness. But these obsessions often harm us more than the occasional treat ever could.
We feel guilty about having that ‘little piece of cake one day’ instead of pondering over endless coffees on an empty stomach.
Moderation is the path to a wholesome, happier life. Let's give ourselves some time to adjust to what truly nourishes us.
Self-care isn't selfish. It's the key to a healthier, more content us. Let’s embrace a gentler journey filled with kindness for ourselves, not harsh judgments.
Sharing this beautiful piece with you, hope it makes your day Bright and lighter! Happy Diwali to everyone!
In shadows of comparison, we lose our grace,
Thinking poorly of self, we embrace a false face.
For years ago, we knew them, but not their life's art,
Remote glimpses can't unveil every heart.
Our eating habits shaped by a mirage so cruel,
Portion control, daily weight check, a relentless duel.
Obsessive and restrictive, the diets we endure,
But they harm us more than a sweet treat's allure.
Let's heal our relationship with food, so profound,
For it's not just about pounds, but the love we've found.
In a world that prioritizes the physical, it's true,
Emotional intelligence, our essence shines through.
In moderation, we find the path to our delight,
A gradual transition to wholesome, pure, and right.
Give yourself time, adjust to what's truly best,
In this journey to wellness, let self-care be the quest.

3 Ways Bhagwad Gita Can Help Us Postpartum Warriors
One of my biggest regrets is not discovering this book’s profound significance earlier in life. Of course, I knew it existed and had been through it during my school years, but I never gave the importance that it holds.
Or maybe I could never grasp it. It might come as a shock that I'm talking about this now, and trust me, I never thought I'd be speaking with such conviction.
But that's the beauty of spirituality.
When the time is right, it dawns on you, and that's exactly what happened to me. I delved into this book around six years ago but found myself drawn to it even more over the last six months.
It's as if I'm naturally receiving answers and guidance from its pages. No, I'm far from perfect, but things are falling into place.
The relevance of the Bhagwad Gita truly struck me during my postpartum journey, which can be quite a rollercoaster. Here are a few incredible insights from the Gita that I found particularly helpful:
1. Just like Arjuna faced the battlefield with doubts and questions but conquered them with courage and the right knowledge, we, as mothers, can confront the challenges of motherhood. A lot of our decisions, mothering attitudes, or choices are constantly questioned or judged directly or indirectly. The Gita teaches us to stay strong, remain resilient, and face obstacles head-on. Always remember, we're stronger than we think!
2. The Gita shares the importance of balance in life. For new moms, this means finding time for self-care and nurturing our well-being while taking care of new babies and maneuvering between work & home. It's not selfish. It's necessary for both us and our little ones.
3. The Gita's lessons on detachment can guide us towards mindful parenting. It's about cherishing each moment with our baby while also letting go of the need for perfection and more. All of our journey as a mom is unique, and that's what makes it beautiful & worthy.
This incredible book has so much to offer. Here's to becoming better versions of ourselves every month, both for our well-being and for our precious children.

I'm often asked for yoga poses to boost fertility, but let's get real – it's about way more than just poses!
We have to own up to the fact that our bodies have seen their fair share of inflammation, junk food, and lifestyle choices that don't do our fertility any favors.
Instead of Netflix marathons and endless scrolling on our phones, we could've been moving our bodies or catching some much-needed naps. Stressing out for way too long instead of finding solutions?
Yeah, we've been guilty of all of that. We've let toxic people and vibes into our lives when we could've chosen some calmness. So, let's do some soul-searching reflections.
Let’s recognize what's been messing with our bodies and minds and then reverse engineer the damage.
It's not easy, but it's necessary. For instance, if stress is your problem, turn to some great relaxation tricks like deep breathing and meditation.
Feel Lazy and not feel like moving an inch? Nah, let 15 minutes of asana practice motivate you to get moving. Neither of us is perfect, trust me!
And also, don't forget to swap those junk foods for fertility-friendly, whole foods.
Will keep sharing about them. Yoga's about more than just poses – it's a whole lifestyle shift.
So, let's make those mindful choices, one baby step at a time. We have got to do this! Solving fertility is not only about making babies but also about your genuine health.

Many times, food choice is rooted in culture and is ancestral. Choosing what’s best for us based on our current lifestyle and geographical location matters.

Embracing Garbh Sanskar During 1st Month of Conception
Garbh Sanskar, rooted in ancient Ayurvedic traditions and the Vedas, goes beyond pregnancy; it's about nurturing morals and values in the womb. This beautiful science educates the child before birth. According to Garbh Sanskar, each month is linked to a planetary influence.
In the first month, we offer a heartfelt tribute to Lord Brahma, the creator, seeking his protection for the expectant mother on her familial journey. The Slokam reminds us of the divine grace surrounding the beginning of life.
Embrace this sacred journey of Garbh Sanskar, a timeless practice that connects us with the profound wisdom of our ancestors.

The most common issue I've observed with many pregnant women who join the class is breathlessness.
They aspire to have active physical practice during their 2nd trimester when their energy is at its peak.
But they are not able to do it because of this.
So, the best way to prepare yourself for pregnancy is to master the art of breathing or Pranayama.
This will not only help you strengthen your lungs but will also act as a quick de-stress when you're overwhelmed by hormonal rollercoasters.

Hormones gone for a toss! Let's look at some of the daily habits like overeating, lack of sleep/rest, or using toxic products that can disrupt our pregnancy hormones. It doesn't happen overnight, but if it has, we have surely taken things too far. And, we need to start working on these. Let's not make PCOS, infertility, low s***m count, or hormonal imbalances part of our motherhood journey.

Is stress not good, and are cortisols bad?🤔
Cortisol, the stress hormone, plays a vital role in our daily routines, energizing us for the day ahead. However, maintaining its balance is crucial, as excessive cortisol can harm our well-being.
Individual cortisol levels vary, so it's essential not to become overly stressed. Regular yoga, with relaxation techniques, can help lower cortisol levels and restore equilibrium in your stress response.
Adjust your practice based on your cortisol levels: gentle practices for high levels and energizing activities for low levels. Embrace cortisol as a part of your life and optimize it for a better life experience.

Navratri, a joyous festival spanning nine nights, holds a deep significance for women seeking motherhood. Each day pays homage to different forms of the divine Goddess Durga, signifying her multifaceted role in our lives. On the crucial Day 9, we honor Goddess Siddhidatri, the bestower of blessings and fertility.
Siddhidatri embodies the epitome of feminine energy, making her a symbol of hope for those longing to become mothers.
She grants the gift of fertility and maternal blessings.
To embark on a journey towards motherhood, women can practice the sacred yoga pose "Padmasana" (Lotus Pose), representing purity, wisdom and grace!
If this pose doesn't come easy to you, you can take variations with one leg at a time. Practice will make it smooth as the ankle flexibility increases.
Chanting "Om Siddhidatryai Namah" can invoke her divine favor, aiding in the pursuit of motherhood.
On Day 9, as we celebrate Siddhidatri, we honor the aspirations of women wishing to embrace the divine blessing of motherhood.
May this day mark the beginning of a beautiful and fertile journey toward the fulfillment of their cherished dreams. 🌼🙏
The significance of Day 8 of Navratri, also known as "Ashtami," is dedicated to Maha Gauri, the eighth manifestation of Goddess Durga. The focus is on the spiritual and symbolic aspects of the festival.
Maha Gauri is depicted as extremely fair and symbolizes purity and serenity.
Devotees seek her blessings for inner peace, purity of thoughts, and spiritual growth on this day.
We can find tranquility and enhance fertility with the yoga pose ""Savasana"" (Co**se Pose).
Savasana is typically practiced at the end of a yoga session. While it may not be directly related to developing a specific "bhava" (a feeling or emotion associated with devotion in some Indian spiritual traditions), it can have a profound impact on our mental and emotional state. Here's how it can indirectly contribute to developing a bhava:
1. It can help us deeply relax our body and mind. This state of relaxation can create a conducive environment for cultivating bhavas associated with devotion or other emotions, as it reduces stress and mental distractions.
2. During Savasana, it is encouraged to be mindful and aware of our breath and bodily sensations. This heightened awareness can be a foundation for developing various emotional states, including devotion.
3. The tranquility and stillness of Savasana can bring a sense of inner peace. A peaceful mind is more open to the experience of deep emotions, including those associated with devotion.
4. Also, the practice of Savasana can reduce stress and anxiety. This can help in releasing emotional blockages and making it easier to connect with and develop the desired bhava.
While Savasana itself may not directly create a bhava, it is an important component of yoga practice that can prepare the mind and body for the deeper emotional and spiritual experiences often associated with bhavas.
At the end, we can chant "Om Devi Mahagauryai Namah" to imbibe the Divine Goddess calming presence.
Have a happy and prosperous Navratri everyone!
Day 7 brings us the fierce Goddess Kalaratri, representing fearlessness and protection.
Goddess Kalaratri is often depicted as a fierce and powerful form of Durga, representing the destroyer of darkness and ignorance.
She is believed to remove all obstacles and grant strength to her devotees. Her name, "Kala" refers to time and death, and "Ratri" means night.
The seventh day of Navratri is when she is worshipped to seek protection and liberation from the darkness of ignorance.
In yogic and spiritual practices, this day can be seen as an opportunity to work on conquering inner demons, facing fears, and seeking spiritual enlightenment.
It's a time to reflect on the destructive aspects of existence and transform them into positive energy. We can meditate on the concept of time and the impermanence of life, which are symbolized by Kalaratri.
🔥👩 We can channel our inner strength and boost fertility with this yoga pose
"Trikonasana"(Triangle Pose).
We can chant ""Om Kalaratryai Namah"" for her protective energy and imbibe her fearlessness.
