RAM went out to a baseball game last night! We watched the Vancouver Canadians vs. Hillsboro Hops . We also rocked our new RAM caps, ate a huge amount of burgers and hotdogs, and had some tasty thirst-quenching beverages.

The RAM Riders got together yesterday for the 2022 Bike-a-thon to raise funds for those who are deaf and hard-of-hearing in B.C. The 100km ride started in Stanley Park and went all through Vancouver, down to Steveston (Richmond), and back to the Lost Lagoon in Stanley Park.

Yesterday, some of the RAM ladies volunteered at Musqueam Nation to celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day! We had the opportunity to help out in the kitchen, packing and transporting food to be handed out, and packing up the event when it was over. Yesterday, RAM fundraised for the BC Children’s Hospital’s annual fundraiser, Jean Up, for the fourth year. Jean Up is a fundraiser held all throughout the month of May. It’s a chance for all of us in BC to come together and wear jeans to show what we stand for – helping sick and injured kids get out of their hospital gowns and back into their own jeans.

RAM is thrilled to give Cole McKay from Cook's Ferry Indian Band a $2000 grant, as part of our annual Indigenous Youth Education Scholarship to support his efforts in the Trades. RAM's Geotechnical Engineering team, Horizon Engineering , celebrated their 25th Anniversary last month with staff, MLA for North Vancouver-Lonsdale, Bowinn Ma, Member of Parliament for North Vancouver, Jonathan Wilkinson, and the team at North Shore Search And Rescue.

At the same time, Horizon celebrated its 5,000th project - providing geotechnical engineering services to a new Command and Operations facility for the North Shore Search and Rescue to be located near Cleveland Dam. To celebrate this milestone, Horizon donated $5,000 to the North Shore Search and Rescue.

Today, RAM honours the 14 women who lost their lives in the 1989 tragedy at École Polytechnique. The National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women is about remembering those who have experienced gender-based violence and those who we have lost to it.

We stand with women engineers, and all women, in the fight against gender-based violence.
