ADVANCED PROGRAM HIGHLIGHT | HALF-DAY PROFESSIONAL TRAINING PROGRAM Our Half-Day Professional Training Program allows dancers to maintain a rigorous dance schedule alongside completing academic requirements in preparation for high school graduation and post-secondary opportunities. Dancers take classes 6 days a week at a minimum of 25 hours weekly, with the opportunity to work with locally, nationally, and internationally renowned guest artists. Our program has been designed for the dancer and for the student who wants to have a full and holistic experience throughout their high school years. Dancers in the program find a way to figure out who they are, and how they fit into this global idea of what dance is in the world. On Sunday, May 5, 2024, from 10 AM-12 PM, we welcome dancers and families to attend our Professional Training Program Open House, which will provide insight into this unique program. The morning will include taking a ballet class with our Apprentice Company, watching Company Rehearsal, and a Q+A with Artistic Director, Artemis Gordon. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to attend the whole morning. Consideration for the 2024/2025 program starting in September is still available. ARCHITECTURE SCHOLARSHIP INTENSIVE: RE/CREATION: AQUATIC CENTRE TO AQUATIC COMMUNITIES This year’s Architecture Scholarship Intensive explored the complex interface of land and water through sites at Sunset Beach and the soon-to-be-replaced Vancouver Aquatic Centre. This full-scholarship architecture program provides students ages⁠ 15-19 with the rare opportunity to work with some of Metro Vancouver’s leading architects and industry experts.
