On the 89th Birthday Anniversary of the 14th Dalai Lama a manifestation of Avalokiteshvara. The Sangha members and lay devotees of Tsengdok Monastery Canada has offered the body, speech and mind Mandala and white scarf to the portrait of the 14th Dalai Lama. Followed by the recitation of long life prayer and dedication prayers.
By these merits, May the teachings of Buddha flourish. May the teaching holder masters have longevity. May all sentient beings swiftly attain the Buddhahood.

"We should begin by removing the greatest of hindrances to compassion, anger and hatred.... these are extremely powerful emotions and they can overwhelm our entire mind ... these negative emotions will plague us ... and impede our quest for the happiness of a loving mind.... while it is true that anger brings extra energy, if we explore the nature of that energy, we discover it is blind, we cannot be sure its result will be positive or negative. This is because anger ellipses the best part of our brain: its rationality. So the energy of anger is almost always unreliable. It can cause an immense amount of destructive, unfortunate behavior.
