UPDATE -- We are pleased to announce that effective Sept.1, 2024 the North American chapter secretariat will move from the Gerontology Research Centre at Simon Fraser Univerisity in Vancouver to the Centre for Technology Adoption for Aging in the North (CTAAAN) at the University of Northern British Columbia (https://www.ctaan.ca/). Chapter leadership will also change: Please welcome Dr. Shannon Freeman, Associate Professor in the School of Nursing at UNBC who will assume the role of chapter president and Aderouke Agboj who will become chapter secretary.

Post-doctoral position open in Vancouver, Canada
The Dr Tong Louis Living Lab, a joint project of the Simon Fraser Univerity Gerontology Research Centre and the Applied Research Make+ Group at the BCIT Institute of Technology invite applications for a new post-doctoral position. The successful candidate will have publications and research interests/experience in technology and aging. Possible areas for developing and conducting a research program include power-assists add-ons for wheelchairs, design innovations for community and long-term care environments, universal design solutions, and technologies for home support. This can be a one or two year position with the opportunity for renewal. Applications are welcome from gerontology, health sciences, design-related disciplines, engineering, and social sciences. Deadline for applications is August 1, 2023. Send covering letter outlining proposed research program and qualifications, cv, 2 sample pubs and names of 3 referrees to [email protected]
