This original East Vancouver bungalow did not have a true foyer or landing so visitors walked right into a wall upon entry – not the most pleasant welcoming! We bumped out the entry to resolve this.
 
The small window seen above the bench was added to allow for light to filter through to the
stairwell on the other side. We used leaded glass to make it appear as it was original to the
home.
 
We tiled the entry for durability and used pattern for interest and beauty. We selected a tile from Ann Sacks that had a colour match to the hardwood floor that we used throughout the main floor because details matter!
 
The bench was added for ease of shoe removal while leaving an opening below for quick access
to shoes.
 
The two millwork towers on each side of the bench store coats, the homeowner’s dog items for quick access on the way out the door, as well as keys and smaller personal items upon entry.  

All in all this small entry is a beautiful workhorse!

Our latest photos from this Yaletown Loft are done! How cool is this space? Our client's vision was to have a welcoming, well-curated, layered space with lots of interest. His loft was already partially completed - we came in to help finalize the layout, choose furniture and light fixtures, add accent paint, drapery and lots of greenery! His gallery wall and personally curated art collection are absolutely the focal points of this space. Also...how cute is his Dalmatian!? 🥰

Who We Are:

Form Collective is an active Interior Design studio with a lot of work on our plate! We are a team of four designers looking to add a dynamic Client Experience & Operations Manager to our team. We work on a wide variety of projects, styles and budgets and we believe that what we do enhances the lives of those who occupy the spaces we work on. We need someone who shares the same belief and can dive right in!

Please note, we are not looking for an interior designer to fill this position, this role will never become that of an interior designer.

All about the Numbers!

Your Duties and Responsibilities:

Scheduling & Tracking. Team, Clients & Products.

Client Care. Follow ups & relationship building.
Bookkeeping. Daily functions required to manage the accounts.

Reconciliation. Balance various bank accounts on a monthly basis.

Month End. Invoicing & Balancing.

Year End. Invoicing & Balancing. Working alongside our registered accountant for tax season.

You Will Look After:

Daily office procedures

Scheduling & keeping the team on task and working towards our common vision

Monitor accounts receivable & follow up overdue accounts

Purchasing & Tracking Furniture

Bank deposits

Prepare biweekly payroll, CRA monthly remittances

Work with other employees on reconciliations as required

Experience with Quickbooks & Excel is a requirement. Additional experience using Trello and Calendly is a bonus as these programs will be used in this position.

Probationary period of three months to be rate of $25/hr, following that, rate to be increased to $30/hr. Rate will be increased as our business hits targeted milestones of growth, most of which will only be able to happen with a highly effective candidate as our operations manager.

Expected Hours:

8:00am-4:00pm, Monday - Thursday or Monday - Friday schedule, depending on candidate desires. This is an in-office position and working from home is not something that we will consider.
