The past few days I have been watching the news, and as a nursing student I am saddened. It all feels overwhelming, upsetting, and I know many of you feel the same. I think mental health needs to be a prominent subject right now, and one we aren’t afraid to address. Our team wants to make our page an inviting and open space to discuss these topics and create a community where we can share and uplift one another.

We received many DMs yesterday about my recent TikTok showing my daily routine asking how to do it. Although I am productive, there are days I am burned out. Days I am too tired to get work done. Days I have to put my health before my to do list. And this is ok!

We are starting a new discussion each week called Wednesday Words of Wisdom and would love for everyone to feel free to join in on the question of the day and share advice! Learning from one another, helping one another!

About me☺️: I’m currently a second year nursing student completing my undergraduate degree. I volunteer in my free time in the perioperative unit of a local hospital and will be starting my clinicals in a surgery unit come this fall.
