Caribbean low-cost carrier Arajet won the Best Startup Airline award at the CAPA Awards this week at the World Aviation Summit where nine other global aviation and airport awards were also given.

Arajet, a Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic-based airline, was selected among more than 20 airlines that have started operations in the last three years, on the basis of having been “the most innovative among all the new airlines of the world and having the greatest impact on the aviation industry globally,” the CAPA Awards noted. Arajet is notable among another new airlines for having a fleet of six new Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft operating, and will end the year with eight, and that it has an order with Boeing that could see its fleet exceed 45 aircraft by 2027.

Responsibilities

RE/MAX Paradise (Bavaro office) is seeking candidates for the position of Office Administrator. Ideally, the candidate should:
* Provide top notch customer service while answering the phones or helping with walk-ins - great communication skills and a friendly voice
* Ability to multi-task and work with a dynamic team, including Sales Representatives, Broker/Owners and RE/MAX DR head office
* assist in marketing, i.e. social media, print, and other forms of media
* Implement and train agents and staff in technologies and systems, procedures, and policies
* Administrative duties such as keeping track of all transaction documents, complying with legal procedures, increasing productivity by creating and following office protocols, maintaining a professional relationship both internally and externally
* Monitor and restock office supply levels, order as needed
* Strong accounting/bookkeeping background and experience managing small to medium size offices would be an asset!

Qualifications

* High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office, OneDrive and similar systems, should be technically literate
* Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills
* Prior experience in the real estate industry or as an office administrator is preferred
