Hi everyone & welcome to this new Kayla edition of the Skyla Studioz 52 Hike Challenge videos!!
Today I am very honored to be joining my buddy Barry who is taking me to Mount S. Helen's & we attempted the Climbers Bivouac - Ptarmigan Trail to try & summit this legendary volcano.
No we didn't summit this time, I'll give y'all that now but be patient, it's coming.

Hike 14 of 52 Mount St. Helens - The Journey

Weekend Plans:
Saturday ~ Journey to Mount St. Helen's, Hike up the Volcano as far as we can & make base camp.
Sunday ~ Summit Push, Summit 8366 ft, Descent, Home Return.

Yes, I (Kayla) will be filming this for the YouTube channel, it will be the first hike I really film without Skye (as many of you may or may not know, we have separated), she probably wont be doing the editing either so the style will be very different as I am nowhere near as good as she is... So I thank you ahead of time for your understanding. This is my first major mountain, the first of many great heights I aspire to reach.
Wish me luck.

Today we took on our most brutal hike yet of the & we kicked all kinds of mountain ass. We conquered Mount Index's Lake Serene Trail to the entirety!!! We made it to the lake, we found both mines, we made to the falls & found a
We did more than 2700 feet of total elevation gain, this hike was EPIC!! Really hope you enjoy.

Today we returned to Deception Pass with THE SQ**RT!! we did the 6.7 mile hike up to Goose Rock and we found the most mystical creature that ever existed, MERMAIDS!!! They were relaxing on the beach and were kind enough to allow us to briefly record them, they didn't let us for too long though as they told us recording them too much would take away their magic. Watch the video to see their mystical beauty for yourself.

Today we were invited by Glenn from Amputee Outdoors to embark along the historic Cedar Butte Trail which actually says Cedar Butt at the summit on the NGS marker, lol.
Jeez did we have weird weather, Sun, rain, sleet, sun, snow, sun, rain, sun... lol
It was so nice to hike with someone who actually loves to stop and look at the various little things on the hike as we do! Thanks so much Glenn this was a blast.
