The last class of the term. We ran a "mock shiai" with the competitive judo rule. Everyone had good fights and saw good techniques in both standups and ground.

UVic now has the Judo program. It is an Olympic sport, Japanese Martial Art, and a grappling self-defence mechanism. Practiced by approx. 25,000 judoka (judo practitioners) in Canada per Wikipedia.
It has Te Waza (stand-up throwing) & Ne Waza (ground grappling). This program will introduce the foundation of throwing and getting throwing. Also, it will introduce basic ground grappling works including hold downs, chocks, and joint locks. If you are looking for a workout to get back to workout while learning a new sports/martial art, please register at UVic Vike Rec. Program. :)
