This is also great next step toward our ongoing commitment of boycotting Mountain Rose Herbs and all larger scale distributors actively participating in the displacement of peoples from their homelands and profiting off the labour of landworkers and not truly prioritizing the care of our plants & peoples in their decisions. Check out the work of fellow herbalists Layla Feghali of @ River Rose Remembrance & Shabina @ shabi_azaadi to find out more about this important movement ๐
Thank you so much for your continued support in building more equitable relationships with our plant medicine providers... here's to all plants (and peoples) flourishing as our awareness of them grows and our love for them deepens ๐ฟ

"Where is the space for our grief? Why must we rush to recover? Grief is part of being alive, part of having relationships. It is a necessary risk of connection, for to love someone is to risk losing them. The herbs in the above section do not numb or annihilate grief but support us as we move through that necessary process, helping to ensure that we don't get stuck there."
An excerpt from the Grief & Trauma section of Ease Your Mind by (Picture 1)
A collection of remedies + resources for the grieving heart:
Pictures 2, 3, + 4: Rosemary saining wand, Ode To Mnemosyne memory tonic, & Rosemary hydrosol.
One of the things I have found to be most supportive in my own grieving process is the ritual honouring of my grief through remembrance; giving my love somewhere to go, moving it through water or smoke... what is it I would say if they were here? I let my heart say it now, surrounded by the protective embrace of Rosemary.
Pictures 5 + 6: Hawthorn glycerite & Rose elixir.
These two have been supporting us through grief for a very, very long time. They know how to grow thorns and each spring, they know too how to flower among them.
Picture 7: Star of Bethlehem flower essence.
For when you are still in shock and your heart is shaking.
Picture 8: Heart of Hearts house tisane.
Food for the heart and support for circulation of nutrients within the body. Relaxing, anti-inflammatory, nourishing.
Picture 9: Some Things To Perhaps Consider When Someone Shares Of A Death In Their Life, zine by ๐ค
This is a great resource to help you stay curious & compassionate in your conversations around death.
Picture 10: Rosa Pura and Mugwort & Lavender Massage oils.
Self-massage and consensual offerings of massage to others can be a powerful way to support healing with the help of herbal medicine. Rose oil massaged into the heart is a practice I personally treasure greatly.
Let's take good care of each other ๐ซถ

New to the shop ๐๐
It's a dream come true... we now carry a small number of spagyric tinctures made by way of ๐ฐ๐ณ๐ข ๐ฆ๐ต ๐ญ๐ข๐ฃ๐ฐ๐ณ๐ข thanks to Maureen (Mo) Judith of ๐งชโจ
Mo is a herbalist & laboratory alchemist deeply devoted to her craft. The herbs in these tinctures undergo 7 stages... including distillation, fermentation, + calcination which allow for the whole herb to come through in the extraction process, with nothing wasted. This is especially important for herbs with a higher mineral content, such as Raspberry leaf which contains more iron.
Because of their potency, these tinctures also have a much narrower dosage range, with guidelines such as 1-4drops up to 4x a day.
As always, let's have a chat to see if any of these are right for you, but here are some of the simples & blends we are starting with:
Ashwagandha
Hawthorn
Lemon Balm
Reishi
+ Moon Support (Red Raspberry, Vitex, Maca, & Lemon Balm)
We only have a few of each, but if folks are interested we can bring in more... comment below if there are any specific herbs you would like to try a spagyric of... โ๏ธ๐ฟ
Thank you for having me!
So many great workshops and life-giving conversations... feeling big gratitude for the + their incredible first aid set-up... stoked I got to meet Mo of and hear them wax passionate about plant alchemy... still slightly stunned we get to carry her deliciously potent spagyric tinctures in the shop here... more on those tomorrow ๐ป๐งชโจ
I'd also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Montana of for sharing their centering wisdom, intentional sourcing practices, & enchanting schisandra berry electuary with me ๐
Looking forward to applying all that I learned this past weekend in the coming months and grateful to my mother for covering the shop for me so I could go to this at all!
Check out our stories for a sneak peak of the spagyric tinctures now on offer as well as my Northwest Herbal Faire 2024 top fave bumper stickered cars ๐ค
Tried to eat a whole sun? Digestion suffering?
Brew up a cup of our Green Lion house blend!
A blend of 7 certified organic and/or farm-direct gut healing herbs, including: Calendula, Ginger, Meadowsweet, Nettle, Orange peel, Spearmint, & Yarrow ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ซ๐โจ
This alchemical mix is aromatic, antacid, anti-inflammatory, anti-spasmodic, anti-ulcerogenic, carminative, & wound healing, plus will protect the mucous membranes of your digestive tract.
This tisane is a great choice for sluggish digestion, gas & bloating, and acid reflux (when part of a larger protocol.)
Personally I like to brew Green Lion when I'm looking to strengthen my digestion between meals, but also when I'm stuck in a feeling or need help chewing through a big dream that's still clinging to my spirit.
Please note: one of the ingredients, Meadowsweet, contains salicylates, so this blend is not for you if you have an allergy to commercial aspirin!
It's also important to consult a healthcare professional before taking any herb for the first time, if you're pregnant and/or nursing, or if you're taking any prescription medications.
Come chat with me if you want to know more โบ๏ธ
5 out of 7 of the herbs in this blend are now sourced directly from the folks growing them! Thank you Jessye of for the beautiful Meadowsweet & Yarrow and thank you Bela for the gorgeous Calendula flowers and thank you for the healthy Nettle & Spearmint ๐
๐๐ท Please help us by wearing a mask ๐ท๐
We offer masks free of charge because we seek to value & protect life.
Because we yearn for a community that prioritizes those more vulnerable among us.
If you haven't been masking in other spaces or were masking earlier on but then stopped- it's ok! We're just looking to do better than we did yesterday and imperfection is better than inaction.
Let's take these little steps together today to protect, support, and show much we care about our immunocompromised kin.
Rosemary hand sanitizer is also provided ๐ฟโจ
There are so many layers as to why we low-key beg for your support with this... despite knowing it has thus far been followed with a drop in sales for us... despite so many other small biz & healthcare settings that have returned to "business as usual" and deemed the pandemic as "over". We are a very very tiny biz, run by one tired herbalist with no one to cover if I am sick for more than a day (though my mom does help out and I'm eternally grateful) but if I got long Covid- that's it folks!!
We are also now sharing space with and every week they are seeing cancellations due to Covid or are treating folks debilitated by long Covid. Please reject the myth that this is not our reality... and know that many of the other staff in our shared space are also immunocompromised ๐ซถ
If you feel called to support us further, please consider leaving us some kind words in the googlery or coming in to stock up on some fine farm-grown leaves... there is so much good medicine here and we do all this to be of loving service to you ๐คฒ๐
If there are more ways we can support you (other than access to hundreds of more sustainably sourced plants & their finest extracts) please comment with any herbal medicines you are seeking at this time โ๏ธโฌ๏ธ
Let's take such gooooood care of each other ๐
Can you feel the next season leaning in? It's almost back-to-school time and we're bringing in more books to help you lean into learning...
Inspired by 's reading lists as well as my own yearning for learning, we've got some new extra special titles in!
We've got the go-to texts such as Medical Herbalism and Healing With Whole Foods. Personally I'm looking forward to diving into Chanchal Cabrera's Holistic Cancer Care which I've heard some very good things about! Then there's the classic Medicinal Herbs: A Beginner's Guide from Rosemary Gladstar. Because I know you just want a place to start...
We've got 's juicy Who Is Wellness For? and 's No Right Way To Meditate and 's Falling Back In Love With Being Human, all of which were, along with Layla Feghali's The Land In Our Bones and Shล Yamagushiku's Shima, some of the best medicine I took in this past year. (Along with that community acu & the plants themselves of course ๐ฅฐ)
I think I'm most looking forward to reading Leah Pennimen's Black Earth Wisdom though. I wanted to get in Farming While Black, but apparently I need a different distributor for that! Either way I've long been inspired by all that's been growing at and encourage you to check out/follow/support their healing work. Recently they've been experiencing some hate too, and will likely have to relocate, so please redistribute what you can $. We all want to live in a soul fire world โค๏ธโ๐ฅ
Anyway, lots to say about all of these titles, but for now- come take a look! Pick out a new book! Our windows are getting repaired as I write this and the light is already spilling in...
We'll be transitioning to carrying less hydrosols / floral waters, so if there's any you've been eyein come get 'em before they're gone!
We're making this change as we'll be focusing on those we can source directly from farms and medicine makers, and so as to continue to move toward a boycott of the larger distributors. If you'd like to know more about this boycott, feel free to come chat with me in person:)
So far we have access to Rosemary and Sage farm-direct which is why these two are now available refillable ๐
Currently available until supplies last:
Calendula (clean wounds with me!)
Chamomile (mist me on the pillows of your babies!)
Clary Sage (move those big feelings!)
