The birthing ball is a great resource for pregnancy, labour and even Postpartum! In pregnancy, birth balls help to strengthen your back and stomach muscles and improve your posture to prepare for labour, it encourage your pelvic muscles to open helping with descent of your baby and dilation. It also helps decrease back pain and pelvic pressure and is a helpful tool for different positions in labour! Postpartum you can deflate it a bit and sit on it if you're uncomfortable on harder or flatter surfaces. You can also use it to bounce and soothe your baby!
