Join us at the pub on Monday August 5th for Bartholomew's 1st Annual BC Day Pig Roast! Chef will be roasting on the patio from early morning and at 3pm we'll be offering fully loaded BBQ plates of roast pork, salad, coleslaw, house-baked bun, grilled corn and all the fixins' for $30 per person. Today's break even bottle is Jameson Irish Whiskey's Single Pot Still Five Oak Cask Reserve. Malted and unmalted barley is triple distilled for a rich, unmistakable silkiness with distinctive pot still spiciness and is matured in a combination of three different types of virgin oak (Irish, European and American), in addition to ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. The finished result is a whiskey that is equal parts complex and smooth with aromas of cinnamon, nutmeg, toasted oak, honeycomb, salted caramel, zesty fruit, dairy fudge, butterscotch, and vanilla. On the palate you'll find flavours of dark chocolate, spicy toffee, ground cinnamon, freshly grated ginger, and touches of orange peel. The finish is delicate and long with the pot still spices and oak lingering to the very end. Come give it a taste! 🥃

Sophisticated and complex in character, the inclusion of full term matured whiskey from ex Malaga casks contributes exotic characteristics to the whiskey. It has aromas of hay and cracked black pepper. Red bell peppers, nutmeg, clove oil & green tea. Sweet honey & peaches from the Malaga casks. On the palate you’ll find honey sweetness with pot still spices. Flavours of fresh coffee, creamy milk chocolate & Crème Brûlée. Notes of red apples & toasted oak. Its finish is sophisticated & complex with a sweetness throughout, followed by a mix of red grape & dry barley.

Today's break even bottle is Bruichladdich's Octomore Edition 14.3. This heavily peated whisky is distilled from barley grown on Islay, on one singular farm just two miles from Bruichladdich Distillery. Matured in a combination of first fill ex-American whiskey casks and second fill wine casks, the oak influences, but never dominates the grain - capturing the terroir and unique flavour of the Islay barley. Aromas of hot, sweet mash, biscuity malt, peat smoke, and sweet fruits like apricots and pears are balanced with candied lemon, butterscotch, and chocolate. The palate offers delicate oak notes, smouldering peat, and floral hints, enriched by malty Islay-grown barley and creamy porridge. The finish is dominated by malted barley and earthy smoke, with lingering sweetness from barley sugar, caramel, and vanilla. Crafted on Islay for the discerning whisky enthusiast, you won't want to miss this special break even bottle!

We offer a casual relaxed atmosphere, in an English style setting, as well as a beautiful outdoor patio. Bartholomew’s is proud to support our local craft beer industry, and offers beer on tap from all the major Victoria breweries. We are also famous for our signature double seafood Caesar, which is considered, by many, to be the best in Victoria. Our menu is extensive, offering classic pub fare and families are welcome. Join us every Thursday night from 7 - 10 pm for Music Bingo hosted by Ron King. This event is very popular with our locals, and a great way to meet people and win some cool prizes. Enjoy live entertainment every Friday & Saturday from 9:30 pm and Sundays from 4:30 pm, as we showcase some of Victoria’s finest talent, no cover charge. Every Saturday, from June through September we offer a patio barbeque from 6 pm, weather permitting. The menu features a selection of summer favourites, and rotates weekly. Bart's serves Sunday brunch from 11 am - 2 pm every Sunday, as well as our signature Sunday night dinner feature from 5 pm. For the sports fans, we have numerous T.Vs, including our 90 inch laser projector screen, broadcasting your favourite sporting events, all in high definition.
