The best surprise! My car has been in desperate need of a big deep clean but I haven’t had the time to get to it. So my husband took a day off and spent it cleaning the car, and it looks incredible!
I swear he’s always going to for something and he raves about all the awesome stuff he finds there. His go-to move is shopping their TESTED products because the TESTED badge means it’s a high quality product that’s been tested by Canadians, so he doesn’t have to waste tons of time researching and stressing about whether he’s making the right choice. So much peace of mind!

For more than 20 years, Canadian Tire Gander has supported the Central Northeast Health Foundation (CNEHF), which fundraises to purchase medical equipment for the local hospital. Dealer Melissa Honour has found that selling raffle tickets for great prizes has been very successful in generating thousands of dollars for the CNEHF – and the most recent choice of donating a new patio set toward the cause has tapped into locals’ excitement for summer.
Inventory Manager Simon Day at Canadian Tire Gander had the pleasure of drawing the lucky winner of the patio set. Melissa enjoyed a similar task: presenting the CNEHF with a cheque for $2,788 from the raffle ticket sales.
Melissa offers these kinds of raffles often for the CNEHF and often involves her team in selecting the most appealing products from the store’s aisles.
“It’s the right thing to do,” says Melissa. “A fully equipped hospital benefits our entire community.”

New Sudbury Canadian Tire, operated by Dealer Mike Mercier, has been a March of Dimes Canada partner for several years. The disability advocacy organization recently awarded the prestigious “Champion Employer” title to the store – but if you ask Mike’s team, they’ll say the true reward is getting to work with great people!
The Champion Employer award is presented to local companies that exemplify inclusivity and provide outstanding support for people with disabilities overcoming employment barriers. The store regularly hires March of Dimes clients in roles ranging from Auto Service Advisors to stockroom clerks to folks who handle carry-out services.
“We’ve had so much success over the years finding people who are the right fit for different jobs,” explained Kate Martel, Office Manager at New Sudbury Canadian Tire. “They’re roles that make a difference in our store, and opportunities that make a difference for those employees.”

Associate Dealer Cam Beach of Charlottetown Canadian Tire recently arrived to his store to a happy surprise: a homemade wooden sign bearing the store’s name. With no card or letter accompanying the gift, Cam took to Facebook to see if the community could lend him a hand in thanking the mystery artist. It wasn’t long before a pay-it-forward style of magic that Prince Edward Islanders are known for started to take place.
Several other businesses responded to Cam’s Facebook post, proudly showing the signs they, too, had anonymously received over the years. Eventually the secret sign-maker revealed herself: a young local woman named Lauren MacNeill.
Touched by Lauren’s generosity, Cam and his Canadian Tire store asked if they could make a $5000 donation in her name to a charity of her choice. Lauren selected the PEI Cancer Treatment Centre at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, as her family has personal experiences with the healthcare provider.

The WNBA season officially Tipped-Off this week! To celebrate we are reminiscing about the WNBA Canada Game in Edmonton earlier this month where we teamed up with NBA Canada and WNBA for TAKING THE W: Seizing the moment in Women's Basketball Panel. It was a great afternoon of exploring the endless passion and possibilities of growing the women's game. Thanks to all who joined us, and our wonderful panel - by coming together, we continue to pass the ball forwards achieving gender equity in sport.
One of the ways we engage with our Canadian Tire teams is through various contests and Canadian Tire High Level in Alberta was recently awarded first place in an operational excellence challenge. What the store did next was something so doggone great, we had to share.
When Dealer Nick Arora asked his staff how to use the prize money, they voted to gift part of the winnings to the local Northern Lights Regional Humane Society (NLRHS). This is on top of their monthly donation of pet goods.
“Many of our customers and team members own pets and regularly interact with the Humane Society,” said Nick. “We hope this helps the NLRHS in their incredible work. We love giving back in a way that really resonates with our people.”
We are proud to recognize Nick and his staff at Canadian Tire High Level in Alberta for their outstanding dedication to the community.

The nostalgia of charcoal grilled Kalbi brings me to a happy place. 's TESTED badge has yet to fail me, and it came through big time with this quick decision. This Vermont Castings Charcoal grill has been used 3 times in the last week already, and it doesn't seem like we'll be slowing down anytime soon.

Dealer Jeremy Storry and his team at Canadian Tire Merritt in BC say “yes” to a lot of community requests, and that desire to help is often extra enthusiastic when it comes to sport-related initiatives that benefit local youth. So, it should come as no surprise to those who know Jeremy and store that they’re now platinum level sponsors of Merritt Minor Softball.
“All three of our kids have played softball the last few summers and love it,” said Jeremy. “We wanted more of our community’s youth to have the chance to enjoy that opportunity.”
The sports organization is an ideal partner for the Canadian Tire store thanks to their shared commitment to accessibility and keeping the barriers to entry low. Merritt Minor Softball has worked to stay affordable for all players, grow their female teams, and promote a welcoming culture. It’s something they’ll be able to do more of thanks to Jeremy stepping up to the plate to help cover the costs.
I love celebrating my Mom and I love it even more with , where I can get all my kitchen needs for days like these :) If you need ideas on what to get for your mom, look no further! Happy 🌷
