As the new year begins, we wanted to take a moment to thank you for your ongoing support and enthusiasm. Your love and dedication mean the world to us, and we are so grateful to have you as a part of our journey.

As we look ahead to the year ahead, we are excited for all of the new adventures and opportunities that it will bring. We can't wait to share our music with you and to continue to grow and learn together.

We are looking forward to our upcoming concert with Capriccio Vocal Ensemble ! The exquisitely beautiful mass of Charpentier, Messe de Minuit, sung in the splendour of Christ Church Cathedral, perfectly reflects the magic of Christmas. Traditional carols will also be sung and baroque instruments played! Get your tickets before this event sells out. It's one of Victoria's most popular concerts and the cathedral fills up very quickly. We hope to see you there!

Our hugely successful concert with Capriccio Vocal Ensemble is now over and the gorgeous music of Monteverdi and Pärt is set aside. Thank you for attending and supporting the early music we love so much, and also for honouring Ukraine and its people with your presence. We are already busy rehearsing for our next concert and this time we will be taking you to Versailles to experience the beautiful music of Charpentier. A wonderful celebration of the Christmas season that includes tradition carols. Tickets sell out fast for this concert, so get yours as soon as possible. We look forward, as we always do, to seeing you there!

Join us at beautiful Christ Church Cathedral in Victoria, on Nov 11th at 2pm for our Remembrance Day concert with Capriccio Vocal Ensemble. Share with us the heartfelt and passionate music of Monteverdi and Pärt. Capriccio will also sing some very special Ukrainian music to honour the struggle of this war-torn nation. Come and honour and remember with us.

After a busy summer of concerts and performances, we are switching focus to the start of the new season!
Contrasto Armonico is excited to collaborate with Victoria's www.capriccio.ca to perform Monteverdi's Madrigals of War and Love. This Nov 11th Remembrance Day concert which honours the sacrifices of those who have died in war has a particular focus this year: the recent conflict in war-torn Ukraine. As well as the Monteverdi madrigals, the program will include motets by Arvo Pärt and music by modern Ukrainian composers.
It promises to be a very beautiful and poignant concert.
