Someone inquired about what records I have left for sale - so thought i would share here as well:
Kim Kinakin's record collection built with Record Scanner Victoria, BC, Canada https://www.facebook.com/kim.garett.kinakin/ I am a musician & graphic artist who had been involved in making music since I was 14 with my ‘zines COH, Zetetic & Faggo, my record labels Final Notice Records and Amber & Wool, the bands i played in including Sparkmarker, Strain, ...
How does the USA justify funding Israel 13 billion in military aid while allocating 9 billion in dire humanitarian aid for vulnerable populations around the world (including Gaza)?
You can’t pay a hit man to kill someone, and then feel good about yourself for paying to barely keep the victim alive.
There is blood on your hands America - and it won’t be forgotten with the new smokescreen of news of Iran and Israel fighting.
How Many Inches Are You Packing? Episode #26 with Jeffrey McCloy, from the Disgusteens, the New Town Animals (and many more) and worked at Scratch Records back in the day. Recorded Nov 27th 2023.
Please enjoy the latest episode of the video documentation of me selling my music collection. This is an echoey episode (hotel lobby was busy so we tried the pool room, looks cool, but sounds sucks!) and covers our shared music history in the Kamloops/Vancouver punk/hardcore scenes and some love for some bands, including records by:
Flag Of Democracy
Adrenalin O.D,
and T.M.A.
I have made my collection open to folks beyond my circles of friends, please check-out what is left - it’s mostly punk/hardcore from the 80’s and 90’s (link below)
Prices have been converted to US$ (hence some weird prices). Postage NOT included and will be shipped from Victoria, BC, Canada in a new cardboard mailer with paper ‘honeycomb’ packing.
Payments via PayPal for US and International Orders, eTransfer for Canadians.
Most vinyl is in VG+ condition or better, but reach out and I will confirm as a few pieces were bought used.
The collection is organized on this Record Scanner site into ‘cabinets’ listed as 12” vinyl, 7” vinyl, CDs, and Cassettes (NOTE: most CD’s do NOT come with jewel boxes as I store them in poly sleeves for the most part).
Thanks for looking and feel free to share the link.
If your friends are worried about dealing with a stranger, please let them know i have decades in the Vancouver punk/hardcore scene, from being in bands, publishing zines, releasing records to promoting shows - most notably being in the band Sparkmarker on Revelation, Sub Pop, Excursion and No Idea Records (amongst others).

Celebrating Sarah Kirsch on International Transgender Day of Visibility (March 31st)
On this day I would like to celebrate the late Sarah Kirsch (Rest in Power) - who I was lucky enough to share the stage, and break bread with a few times.
My favourite band of Sarah’s was John Henry West and I remember connecting with her at some show in California when I was touring with Sparkmarker.
I knew of Sarah’s guitar playing first from Fuel (but never saw that band play), and was excited to meet someone who seemed to hold similar appreciation for DC sounding bands and forging community when we played with JHW.
We would cross paths again when Torches To Rome played with Sparkmarker in Vancouver, BC in the mid-90’s.
In the late 90’s my work with YouthCO AIDS Society would bring to conference in San Francisco that would bring me back to Sarah’s house in my spare time to hang out with her, and Molly Cameron, the bass player from Bread & Circuits as I had just interviewed them for my Punk & Q***r zine Faggo.
When I heard of Sarah’s passing from Fanconi Anemia (and subsequent cancer) and gender transition I was so crushed, floored, confused and sad. So sad that such a talent and force was gone from the punk/hardcore community. Sad that I had missed creating an opportunity to converse more personally on some of the q***r connections we possibly shared or collaborations I would have loved to propose. Sad that I would never hear music and vocals from this talented musician again.
On this International Transgender Day of Visibility - I celebrate all that Sarah accomplish and all that could have been.

For Sarah Kirsch... - MAXIMUM ROCKNROLL Sarah Kirsch was an inspirational, igniting force in the Bay Area/US hardcore punk scene from the late ’80s to her death in 2012. This page is an archive of info and tributes from MRR.
HUGS to all my Trans friends celebrating International Transgender Day of Visibility today - you are loving, lovable and loved!
For those in my thread who still have questions about gender Identity (and want to be a better ally) - here’s a page that might help you understand through use of the Genderbread Person graphic created by Sam Killerman
The Genderbread Person version 4 - ❤ It's Pronounced Metrosexual For 2018 and beyond, my fourth take on this tasty little introduction to understanding gender.

Welcome to another episode of my video reflections of records I have sold from my personal collection to help me financially keep afloat (cancer, kidney disease and HIV is a challenging cocktail of ailments to say the least).
This has been a great way to reflect on music in my collection while ensuring that records go into loving hands. Reflecting on how I know my friends, what I like about the records they bought - and just me generally blabbing.
Having sold to close friends over the past year - I am now opening up the sale to folks outside of my friends/acquaintances circles. You may not know me - but some folks may know me for my involvement in the Vancouver Hardcore scene and the bands I was in, Sparkmarker, Strain, SamsaraSevin, Skinjobs and San Angelus.
If you are interested in seeing what records I have left for sale - please follow this link and look at the different 'shelves' - you can even organize the lists alphabetically for easier searching.
Prices NOW in US$

Like fine wine, many of these 12"s, 7"s and CD's have become considered 'vintage'. As I am nearing 52, some of these records have been in my hands for 38 years - WOW!
Most of the CDs will be under $5 (with a few exceptions), it the vinyl that has become crazy. What I dont sell personally here on FB, I will post on Discogs or Ebay
what you want and research on Dicogs, Ebay and Popsike to figure out a current value.
ALSO - the pressing i have listed are the pressings i have. if it says coloured vinyl, it is, if not, its black. The images are pulled from an online database so do not reflect the condition of my copy - just for reference.
For now, here's the list (now WITH prices!)... once you send me a list of your interests, I will get back within the week with info on the pressing and condition... most are graded VG+ even if the are NM...unless it is sealed, then i will say M (sealed)
I live in Victoria, BC, Canada so I will ship via Canada Post at YOUR cost. Payments can be made from Canadians via eTransfer or from folks OUTSIDE Canada (US or elsewhere) via PayPal payment.
Canada Post shipping costs are based on distance - SO Canada and USA shippingbis most affordable, elsewhere can get pricey
Mainly late 80's and early 90's punk/hardcore with some odds and ends in between years and genre's.
For those asking, most (not all) of my Canadian and Pacific Northwest stuff has already been donated to the SFU Library's 'Vancouver Punk' Archive. I still have some DOA 7"s and some other things though - so check out my list/link above.
What I have left:
About 49- 12"s (i have sold the other 110)
about 99 - 7"s (I have sold the other 88)
About 275 - CDs (I have sold the other 40)
and even some cassettes and 10"s
I won't be offering 'deals' unless you are ordering a record over $250 (we can discuss that in a private message)… there is market value for these and this really is my retirement/emergency savings... so we can discuss in a private chat

This was a great time reconnecting with Rob Zgaljic as we spent an entire 7 years together in Sparkmarker and I can’t imagine the journey without him (i learned to play guitar off of his drumming).
The Revelation CD ‘Treasure Chest’ was a retrospective release of the band, bits and pieces through-out our history together (and after) as a band. So we have lots if reflections.
Big thanks to the sparkmarker members who are not in this interview, Jason Craig,
Jordan Stuttard, Ryan Scott, Darren Bennett, and Alex Demoka.
Also, thanks to Greg Polard and Javier for doing the interview and making time for us to wax nostalgic for an hour and-a-half!
Hey folks - not sure if this has been posted already, but the NoMeansNo book that Jason Lamb has been working on has a kickstarter campaign with a bunchnof unique goodies for people who support it at this stage in the game
A lot of people were interviewed for this project and a lot of photos/flyer/whatnot were scanned for inclusion in the pages - so it will be a must have for fans of the band and a great archival piece of Victoria/Vancouver history.
Check it out below - there’s info in the link about the unique perks of being a Kickstarter supporter, and sample pages to look/read

Good times reconnecting with Rob Zgaljic, talking about our 7 years together in the band sparkmarker, and our friendship starting before that at Sam The Record Man and continuing past those years in the band (we also worked together at Nettwerk Music Group).
Thanks to Greg Polard and Javier from the ‘Where It Went’ podcast, this episode should drop sometime next month
Big thanks to Greg and Javier from 'Where It Went' podcast for taking time to interview Rob & Kim to discuss the only official sparkmarker release on Revelation Records, the 'Treasure Chest' CD.
Look for the episode to drop some time in the next month, we will post it here.
In the meantime, check out their other podcast on other Revelation releases https://www.whereitwentpodcast.com/
