Honoring India's Rich Heritage on Independence Day 🇮🇳
Today, we celebrate the 78th independence day of the nation that introduced the world to the enduring wisdom of Ayurveda 🌿. With roots that stretch back over 5,000 years, Ayurveda is a profound reflection of Indian culture, influencing everything from everyday practices 🪔 to significant festivals 🎉, and embodying the principles of holistic living.
As we reflect on India's path to independence, it's a perfect time to appreciate the ancient science that has been nurturing the balance of body, mind, and spirit for generations. His work is just one of many contributions that highlight India's rich medical legacy.

Wishing everyone a heartfelt congratulations and best wishes on Dhanvantari Jayanti! 🌼🌼
Dhanvantari, the God of health and an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, and the divine being who emerged during the churning of the ocean, is the pioneer of Ayurveda. May his blessings be ever upon you, allowing you to attain a healthy life, achieve your fourfold goals of life, and bring purpose to your human existence. May you succeed in the worldly realms, socially, economically, and spiritually, with wealth and abundance, even as we offer our prayers at the feet of the Divine. Celebrate 'Dussehra' in accordance with Ayurvedic traditions 🕉️🔥
Vijayadashami, also known as Dussehra, is a significant festival observed in various ways across Nepal, India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. This Hindu festival symbolizes the triumph of Lord Rama over Ravana and Devi Durga (Shakti) over demons like Mahishasura, Chanda-Munda, and Shumbha-Nishumbha, signifying the victory of good over evil.
Dussehra falls on the tenth day of the Ashwin month in the Hindu lunisolar calendar, corresponding to September or October in the Gregorian calendar. Diwali, the festival of lights, is celebrated twenty days after Dussehra.
During Dussehra, the Apta tree 🎋 is worshipped with a mantra that seeks to overcome defects and unite individuals with their friends while dispelling their foes.
A beautiful tradition during this festival involves exchanging Sonpatta leaves, emphasizing the importance of sharing and the joy of giving.

Namaste and greetings everyone 🙏🌺
We are thrilled to share how you can celebrate the upcoming festival of Holi using Ayurveda principles. 🎉🌈
Holi is a vibrant and joyous festival that celebrates the victory of good over evil, the arrival of spring, and the abundance of colors and love. However, it can also be a time of overindulgence, stress, and health imbalances if we do not follow the principles of Ayurveda. 🌸
According to Ayurveda, Holi falls in the season of spring, which is dominated by the Kapha dosha. Kapha is the energy that governs stability, structure, and lubrication in our body. However, an excess of Kapha can lead to congestion, heaviness, and sluggishness. To balance the Kapha energy during Holi, here are some Ayurvedic tips: 🌿💧🍉
Choose natural and organic colors 🌺🌈: Avoid using synthetic colors that are harmful to your skin and overall health. Opt for natural and organic colors made from flower petals, sandalwood, turmeric, or other plant-based sources.
Stay hydrated 💦🍵: Drink plenty of water and herbal teas to stay hydrated and flush out toxins from your body. Avoid sugary drinks and alcohol, which can dehydrate your body and cause imbalances.
Eat light and fresh 🥗🍎: Enjoy a healthy and balanced meal before and after playing with colors. Avoid heavy, oily, and processed foods that can clog your digestive system and aggravate the Kapha dosha. Include fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean protein in your diet.
Practice self-care 🧘♀️💆♂️: Take care of your skin and hair by applying natural oils or masks before and after playing with colors. Massage your body with warm sesame or coconut oil to improve circulation, reduce inflammation, and nourish your skin.
Rest and rejuvenate 😴🧖♀️: After the festivities, take some time to rest and rejuvenate your body and mind. Practice yoga, meditation, or deep breathing exercises to alleviate stress and promote balance.
Celebrate Holi with Ayurveda principles. It can be a fun, holistic, and healing experience 🌺🌈🌿

How are we celebrating Family Day🙏🕉️☺️ at Ayush For Life?❤️
🌍 Vasudeva kutumbham: the idea that the universe is one big family and we're all in it together!
🌺 Derived from the Vedic scriptures, this concept teaches us that all living beings - humans, animals, plants, and even inanimate objects - are part of one cosmic family.
🙏 By embracing the principles of Vasudeva kutumbham, we can cultivate a sense of oneness and interconnectedness with all life, promoting respect and compassion for all beings.
💚 This idea is reflected in Ayurveda, an ancient system of medicine that emphasizes the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit.
🌱 Ayurveda teaches us to honor our connection to the planet and the environment, recognizing that our health and well-being are interconnected with the health of the world around us.
🌻 By living in harmony with the principles of Vasudeva kutumbham and Ayurveda, we can help create a more compassionate, sustainable world where all beings can thrive.
❤️❤️❤️❤️Let's do our part to protect and honor the sacred interconnectedness of all life!
❤️ 🚩
🌹 Happy Valentine's Day to our first love: Our mother🤱👩👦👩👦👦👩👧👩👧👦👩👧👧
In Ayurveda, the ancient Indian system of medicine, the mother is considered the first guru and the first doctor, who provides care and nourishment from conception to birth and beyond.
🌳 According to Ayurveda, our mother's influence extends beyond our birth and childhood, and into our adult lives. Her qualities, lifestyle, and habits during pregnancy and lactation can influence our physical and emotional health, personality, and even our susceptibility to diseases.
🌷 Ayurveda recognizes the importance of the mother's touch and care in the development of a child's immune system, mental and emotional health, and overall well-being.
🌈 The colors of a rainbow, as well as the tastes, aromas, and other sensory experiences, are considered important for maintaining balance and harmony in Ayurveda. The mother provides it in the womb.
💝 In Ayurveda, the mother-child bond is considered sacred, and the relationship between them is believed to be the foundation of good health and well-being.
🏡 Our mother is our first home in Ayurveda, the place where we receive the most important care and support in our lives.
💕 Let us honor and cherish the love and care of our first love, our mother, on this special day and every day, and remember the profound influence she has on our health and well-being, both in Ayurveda and beyond.

"Celebrate World Unani Day 2023☪️ in Honor of Hakim Ajmal Khan's Legacy - A Renowned Unani Scholar and Social Reformer. Observed annually on February 11th, this special day recognizes the birth anniversary of Hakim Ajmal Khan and his immense contribution to the advancement of Unani medicine in India and around the world. Hakim Ajmal Khan, born on February 11th, 1868, was a distinguished Unani physician, educator, and the founder of the scientific study in Unani medicine. Commemorate his legacy and the impact he had on the growth of this holistic system of medicine.
⚡Both Ayurveda🕉️ and Unani medicine☪️ share a common approach to health and wellness, focusing on the holistic balance of the body, mind, and spirit.
⚡Both systems consider the individual as a unique entity and strive to restore balance to their three fundamental principles or "doshas" (in Ayurveda) or "humors" (in Unani), which are believed to determine an individual's physical and mental characteristics.
⚡Both systems also place great emphasis on preventative care, including proper nutrition, exercise, and stress management. They also utilize natural remedies such as herbs and spices, and aim to treat the root cause of an illness rather than just the symptoms.
By embracing a holistic approach, Ayurveda and Unani medicine offer a comprehensive, individualized approach to health and wellness.

Did you know the Ayurvedic importance of sesame seeds and kite flying🪁🪁on occasion of Makar Sankranti?
Vitamin D is made by the body with sunlight.
Sesame seeds (Til) have the highest calcium (975mg per 100g) whereas milk has 125mg only.
The body is capable of storing vitamin D up to a year, and use the reserves.
Lastly, the body is capable of getting its vitamin D reserves full with 3 full days of sunlight.
The best quality of sunlight is during the end of winter & beginning of summer.
Now join the dots, and see how wise our sages were in ancient India.
They created a festival of flying kites where by our kids get excited to go in the open, under direct sunlight, throughout the day starting from early morning. And their mothers feed them homemade Til ladoos.
Are we not a fantastic culture?
Happy Pongal, Makar Sankranti, Bihu and festivities to all👏💐

If you are still in exploratory stages of how Ayurvedic medicine works, living in US/Canada and looking for an authentic Ayurveda expert to go to, there is a good chance that you come across these three words often.
👉 Ayurvedic Health Counselor
👉 Ayurvedic Practitioner
👉 Ayurvedic Doctor
Its an irony that these words are used interchangeably through out the media/internet but trust me there is a HUGE 😯 difference.
HINT: The above designations are NOT, ❌❌❌ all equal.
Will cover each term in detail in upcoming parts.
If you found this post relatable, save it , so that you can share this with everyone.
Most of us feel stress on a daily basis. But do you know how much does it impact your mental and physical health?😲😲😲
It's aggravates the diseases that might be not that intense.
Let's say a normal flu can become so intimidating that it will hurdle your day to day activity. A headache may sound like a hulkarian task to deal with. Not that these are small symptoms but can become overwhelmingly BIG for people who take stress and worry a lot.
Think about it, is it really worth it🤔🤔🤔
