🌟 Aging Types: Wrinkler, Sinker, Sagger, or Combo? 🌟
Aging gracefully is unique for everyone, but did you know there are different types of aging? Understanding yours helps in choosing the right treatments! Let’s break it down:
✨ Wrinklers: Fine lines and wrinkles come from repeated facial expressions, like smile or frown lines. If you notice more creases than volume loss, you're likely a wrinkler!
✨ Sinkers: Volume loss in the face leads to a sunken or hollow appearance, especially around the cheeks and under-eyes. Collagen and fat loss are key culprits here!
✨ Saggers: Skin loses its elasticity, causing it to droop or sag—think jowls or necklines. Gravity, loss of firmness, and elastin play a big role.
✨ Combination: Many of us experience a mix of these types, meaning you might have a little bit of everything!
➡️ Knowing your aging type helps me customize your treatments—whether it’s addressing fine lines, restoring volume, or tightening sagging skin. Let’s work together to keep your skin radiant at any age! 🌸

🌞 Healing from Sun Damage:
Your Skin's Journey to Recovery 🌿👇
Spent a little too much time in the sun this summer? It’s never too late to start healing and restoring your skin. Here’s how to nurture your skin back to health:
1️⃣ Hydrate: Keep your skin hydrated from the inside out. Drink plenty of water and use a moisturizing cream with humectant ingredients like glycerine and ceramides to boost your moisture levels and repair dry, cracked skin.
2️⃣ Aloe Vera: Soothe irritated or sunburned skin with aloe vera gel. It’s nature’s remedy for calming and healing damaged skin.
3️⃣ SPF Protection: Prevent further damage by wearing a broad-spectrum SPF daily. Remember, the best way to heal is to protect your skin from future harm.
4️⃣ Antioxidants: After the "red phase" incorporate antioxidant-rich serums like Vitamin C or E into your routine to combat free radicals and promote skin repair.
5️⃣ Gentle Exfoliation: Use a mild exfoliant to remove dead skin cells and promote cell turnover. This will help fade sun spots and even out your skin tone.
6️⃣ Retinol: When your skin is better, consider adding a retinol cream to your night time routine. It boosts collagen production and helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and sun spots.
It’s all about consistency and care—your skin will thank you with a radiant, healthy glow! 🌟
Skincare technology has come a long way, and one of the most revolutionary innovations is the use of EXOSOMES!
How do exosomes work?
Exosomes deliver their cargo of beneficial molecules directly to skin cells. Their cell-to-cell communication helps to boost collagen and elastin: Encourages skin cells to produce more collagen and elastin, which reduces wrinkles and makes skin firmer.
They have also a tremendous influence in wound healing, improves the skin texture, calm and soothe irritated or inflamed skin and even out skin tone.
One of the best EXOSOMES/GROWTH FACTOR SERUMS in the world, with multiple global awards is the STEM CELL SERUM from Osmosis.

If you have been diagnosed with TMJ Dysfunction or have experienced pain in your jaw, by the ears, forehead, back of the head, neck and/or shoulders, as well as headaches, an Intraoral or Buccal massage may be right for you.
It is also a great treatment for those that clench their jaw and therefore feel tension in the jaw, with/without headaches.
Treatment consists of massage therapy to the neck, shoulders, face, head and mouth muscles.
The massage will be focused on your chewing muscles, both inside and outside of your mouth, to eliminate any trigger points, and pain on referral areas by releasing tension in the fascia around the jaw, neck, head and face.
Intra-oral massage therapy treatments can be an effective way to decrease these symptoms, increase range of motion and increase circulation to the TMJ muscles.
All of my clients who have already tried this, notice tremendous results after only a few sessions.

In order to achieve clear skin, we have to nourish and hydrate. The natural instinct when experiencing breakouts is to dry it out, and while this feels productive, it creates an increase in dry/dead skin cells, which can lead to further congestion and breakouts in the future.
Hydration is a game changer.
Nourishing the skin barrier creates the optimal environment to maintain healthy/happy skin.
This doesn't mean you shouldn't use any actives - it means we should do so with intention and care.
If you have questions come to see me and I'll help you guide you along the path to clear skin
Welcome to my world!
80% of the skin changes we associate with age are actually caused by the sun’s ultraviolet rays.
Is there a way to avoid them, aside from staying indoors, in the shade or permanently covered up?
Yep, wear Sunscreen.
Sunscreen does not only block the UV rays, and prevents sunburns, but is also the best skin care product for slowing signs of aging, by preventing the DNA damage of the keratinocytes and melanocytes and avoiding the breakdown through UVA rays of the 2 most important proteins in the derm, collagen and elastin, causing wrinkles, thinning the skin and making the blood vessels more superficial and visible.
Fat Pads... what are they and how do they contribute to ageing?
As we age and lose facial volume, the contour of the face changes, causing shadow patterns to develop.
Fat-pads are located below the skin’s surface and help to provide volume, facial contours, and fullness.
AS WE AGE, FAT-PADS GET THINNER AND DESCEND, WHICH MAY CAUSE:
• A less firm and sunken face compared to our youth
• Hollows to form beneath the eyes
• Lines around the nose and mouth (“nasolabial folds”)
• A sagging jawline and jowls
• Increased fullness under the chin (“double chin”)
FACIAL VOLUME in the entire face decreases with age, leading to an overall deflated look.
That’s when more wrinkles, folds, and sagging of skin appear.
A goal for facial rejuvenation is to restore
FACIAL VOLUME , which helps to decrease the appearance of wrinkles and folds.
One of the most important benefits of the RFL massage is the achievement of a more balanced fat distribution.
Light pressure and kneading movements help promote collagen production while toning down any excess fatty deposits like "double chin".
Moreover, one of the most important functions of the fat (and there are many) is to facilitate that beautiful gliding and sliding between tissues. This only can be done with a deep tissue massage.
Regular sessions make it possible to achieve a more toned and youthful look without the need for invasive treatments.

There is no "one size fits all", when it comes to skincare. Each person is unique, with different skin concerns and goals.
A customized and medical grade skincare regime is key for long term skin health.
Working with an esthetician to curate your ideal regimen is the best way to improve your skin without the main issues that come with over the counter products (irritation, lack of efficacy, improper instructions).
Having a personalized skincare routine also improves your results from treatments.
Think of your skincare routine as as the cake and the treatments the icing on top. 🍰
I offer product consultation and I include a consult in every new facial.

Like most things in life, the best way is usually the simplest way, and consistency is key to getting the best results!
Read below a few tips for maintaining a minimalist but efficient skincare routine:
👇❤
⭐Focus on consistency
⭐Keep it simple
⭐Choose high-quality products, suitable for your skin
⭐Listen to your skin, so pay attention to how your skin reacts and adjust products as needed
Step 1: Cleanse
Whether you’ve got three minutes or 15, cleansing should always be step one of a basic skincare routine
Step 2: Tone
Try a toner to prep your skin for a moisturizer.
To tone or not to tone? It’s a personal preference but just keep in mind that a toner will help with overall skin function by balancing the pH of the skin to a slightly acid one, without mentioning also the refreshing effect.
Step 3: Serum
Skin serums are a great way to improve skin health, by offering different active ingredients or treating different kinds of issues. Now is the moment to treat your skin imperfections: like dehydration, oiliness, different tones, textures, or simply to add a little antiageing boost.
Step 4: Moisturize
A moisturizer will help protect your skin from losing moisture and can reduce the chance of developing other extreme conditions, like eczema and even acne.
Step 5: Protect your skin
Applying sunscreen to your face is not only recommended to prevent long-term damage from the sun, but also to give your skin the chance to really work on what is essential. A skin which is not moisturize and protected will not benefit from any treatment, serums or any other things.

What we call "the skin" in general is much more than what we see. The skin itself contains 3 different layers, each of them with different functions and roles, becoming more complex the deeper you go. What is important is the fact that it's a complete and perfectly functioning system, in which every cell and layer has a specific role, and all together, they are interdependent.
The facial aging process is affecting multiple facial tissue layers, including skin, fat, muscle and bones.
Facial tissue layers age interdependently, contributing to the overall facial appearance.
⭐ Skin
With age, skin undergoes several changes, like thinner and drier skin
Less elastic skin, more likely to wrinkle or sag, and big reduction in collagen
❤ Collagen
Collagen loss is a key factor in the aging process. As skin ages, the middle layer of skin (dermis) thins due to collagen loss. This reduces the skin’s ability to retain elasticity (from elastin) and moisture (from hyaluronic acid). Due to this loss of elastin and hyaluronic acid, the skin becomes: dryer, less supple, less elastic, thinner (volume loss)
🌸 Fat tissue
A youthful look depends on having the right amount of facial fat in the right places.
Some areas lose fat. Examples are the forehead and cheeks.
Other areas gain fat. Examples are the mouth and jaw
Modification of the fat pads leads to contour deficiencies
In addition, the areas of the fat tend to become farther apart. Instead of a smooth, almost continuous layer, the fat pads appear as separate structures.
🌼 Bones
There is a significant loss of facial bone with age.
Few signs of facial aging related with losing of craniofacial skeleton: greater visibility of bony landmarks, lines and wrinkles, prominence of transverse forehead lines, nasolabial folds become more prominent, hollowing of the mid-face (loose skin), changes in the area around the mouth (vertical wrinkles, lip thinning and flattening), development of prejowl depression (marionette lines)
Curious how you can embrace all of it, by loving your skin and understanding the "whole" process?
Book a consultation and I can show you how to address in a natural, holistic way all this changes.

What is the relation in between the skin and sugar?
The sugar is in fact a key factor in the process of the aging of skin, a process called "glycation".
When the UV light and pollution attacks our exterior skin by forming free radicals, the sugar attacks our interior and causes irreversible damage.
Glycation is a chemical reaction resulting in the fixation of sugars on proteins (collagen and elastin). The issue in this process is that it forms "Advanced glycation end products" (AGEs) which generate multiple health issues.
This extremely slow process that takes place during our entire life touches all proteins in our organism in an irreversible manner.
In the skin, the sugar fixates itself around collagen and elastine fibers and progressively destroys by stiffening our skin. The AGEs also slow down the renewal process of skin cells and can lead to appearance of hyperpigmentations.
The appareance of glycine collagen can be observed from as early as 20 years old!
What to do?🤔
Before anything, start by preventing glycation by adopting a healthy nutritional lifestyle, and start to use a series of active ingredients which is proved to be fighting against AGEs damage (see the images above).
Want to have a personalized solution in this matter?
Come to see me, I am always happy to guide you!
