New approach needed to address homelessness WINNIPEGGERS are growing increasingly alarmed over the increased number of people experiencing homelessness in our city.The key to understanding why Winnipeg continues to struggle is highlighted by the unproductive kicking of the can between Mayor Brian Bowman and Premier Brian Pallister.

Hoping someone may be downsizing or upgrading and have an upright freezer they could donate. Our bread freezer has frozen its last loaf

Anothwr wonderful woman Anja has made us a Gingerbread house for our Christmas celenrations

Its Christmas Eve and the good people of West Kelowna keep arrivinng with wonderful gifts for our community. Yesterday we wrre pleased to share these homemade bundt cakes from Audrey who is 89 years young. Thank you so much!

We love how creative our volunteers and staff are with donated food.

We are in need of another refrigerator and freezer so we can store our prepared meals for Seniors and not waste any of the beautiful food we receive from.the Food Bank. If you know of a new or gently used appliance I would love to hear from you.

As a low-barrier service provider, we welcome and fully accept people who use drugs. We are there to revive people from overdose, to offer support, to connect them with services if desired. That acceptance and care can be a step toward healing for people deep in struggle.

In this challenging time of COVID our traditional fund raising methods are not ways that we can use. So like many we need to pivot and move with the times.

We have launched a Go Fund Me page for Outreach, hoping to increase our ability to connect our residents with homeless folks in our community as Overdose prevention workers and peer supports. Please help us spread the word to reach our goal of 10,000
