London Drugs supports the annual BC Children's Hospital Holiday Card Program, which is organized by the Auxiliary to BC Children's Hospital. By purchasing these Holiday cards, which can be found at select London Drugs stores in BC, you help support programs such as the Sibling Support Centre, a space filled with games, arts, and crafts, which provide a safe setting for siblings of kids receiving treatment at BC Children's Hospital. Also through your support, Child Life Specialists at BC Children's are able to provide developmental, educational and therapeutic interventions to support children and families with their hospital experience.

This year's full collection of holiday cards, with artwork created and donated by local artists, can be viewed at: www.bcchholidaycards.com, and are also available for purchase at select London Drugs stores in BC during the holiday season, while supplies last, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to BC Children's Hospital.

Join us in supporting this important cause to make a positive impact on the lives of children and youth in need.

This month we are excited to share the amazing astrophotography by Travis Hirkala in our Local Inspiration Gallery - Themed: Light.
While submitting, Travis said to me "we don’t normally associate astro photos as a traditional “light theme” but to me the stars are truly the only source of light there is. Without them there would be no light, therefore no kingdom to call ours."
And it gave me a new perspective to the theme.
These images are captivating, it's hard to believe that such beauty exists in our in our universe.
Travis's display will be up for the entire month of December in our Photo Department be sure to pop in and have a look.

This month we are excited to present our Local Inspritation Showcase theme: Autumn. We are featuring the beautiful photography by Patricia Howard.
Patricia is a member of the Central Okanagan Photo Society who has a great love of nature photography, which you can clearly see in this showcase. Stop in all month to see it in person.

Update for Monday August 21st: Our Westbank store will operate with regular business hours unless noted otherwise.

We have brought in additional stock of air purifiers, dehumidifiers, as well as N95 kids and adult respiratory masks to address the needs of our customers due to smoke.

Update for Sunday August 20th: Our Westbank store (2151 Louie Drive) remains open and ready to serve the needs of essential medicine, prescriptions, and essentials for daily living for the community. All departments, including pharmacy, are operating under regular business hours.

For customers who are unable to visit Kelowna Westbank location, we can support your pharmacy needs at our Kelowna location (1950 Harvey Ave, Suite 400, Kelowna), or Penticton (2111 Main Street) locations.

We again thank our customers for their patience, as we concentrate on our staff safety and availability, while continuing to balance the needs of our community.

Today, Saturday August 19th, we will have shortened hours for our store within our pharmacy and post office departments.

Our pharmacy will be closed at noon, while our post office is scheduled to open at 2pm.

For pharmacy needs, until further notice, we ask our customers to visit our Kelowna location (1950 Harvey Ave, Suite 400, Kelowna), or our Penticton location (2111 Main Street).

We've prepared a resource guide covering topics including emergency bag preparation, respiratory information during wildfires, keeping the air in your home safe, and available emergency services.

We've also included Evacuee Registration and Assistance (ERA) information for those who are on an evacuation alert or order, or if you have been displaced from your home due to an emergency and your Local Emergency Program has instructed you to self-register.

Our stores will have emergency charging stations available, and we are working with local evacuation services to help coordinate essentials for those who have been directly impacted.

This month we are excited to share August's Local Inspritation photographer and digital artist Renel Peters. Renel's showcase is filled with whimsical landscapes and painted pet portraits. Stop by anytime throught the month of August to grab one of her cards and check out her showcase in person.

A great big Thank You to the first responders for their quick response to this fire as it could have been much worse if it was not put out so quickly.

Thank you to the customer who noticed the fire and reported it so quickly, your quick actions made a huge difference in the outcome of this event.

Thank you to our customers and staff who all evacuated the store and helped the first responders in any way possible including giving directions and helping gain access to controlled areas of the store.

Loading bay at West Kelowna London Drugs goes up in flames - West Kelowna News UPDATE: 6:55 P.M. Damage is visible on the outside of the London Drugs on Louie Drive after a fire broke out early Friday evening.
