Bergman and Associates (Michael N. Bergman) represents the family of Bony Jean-Pierre, a black person, who was shot and killed by a Montreal Police officer during a raid on an apartment in 2016. The police officer was recently acquitted of man slaughter. Mr. Jean-Pierre was unarmed and was attempting to jump out of a ground story window. Michael N. Bergman has begun teaching Constitutional Law and Language Rights in Canada at McGill University’s Faculty of Law. Mr. Bergman was a sessional lecturer of McGill in 1994 and 1995 where he taught Trial Advocacy. In 1996, he coached McGill’s delegation in the Pierre Basile Migneault moot court competition for 3 years. Mr. Bergman is driven to impart his expert Language Rights knowledge with the next generation of lawyers.
Depuis cette session, Michael N. Bergman enseigne le droit constitutionnel et les droits linguistiques au Canada à la Faculté de droit de l’Université McGill. Me Bergman a été chargé de cours à McGill de 1994 à 1995, où il a enseigné le plaidoyer en procès.
