Sometimes the best experiences come from stepping outside our comfort zone and embracing spontaneity. Last year, as the clock ticked closer to the start of the Trophy of Nations mountain bike race in Italy, , and found themselves on an unexpected trip. In a whirlwind of last-minute decisions, they seized the opportunity and entered the race.

Something different.

The first and much-needed overnight escape this summer. 💛💛💛

Summer just keeps delivering! Loving the hot sunny days and despite the full shooting schedule I still manage to find some balance and mix it up with some fun times. Luckily most of the work is done outside these days so that's a bonus.

What a weekend! Lots of laughs, a few crashes, and a loss of a muffler. 🙀 All we did was ride bikes, chill by the lake, eat pizzas, and watch Steve Storey and Danny Carlo race their first Canadian Enduro event of the year.

I love seeing this photo published in the current issue of Velo magazine in Czechia.
It's from our first ride in Ecuador last year. I remembered we were dropped off at a high altitude and I was freezing and lightheaded and just wanted to drop in to get to a lower elevation. But not far from the top, we rode through chuquiraga flowers and I had to stop to take some photos.
I learned that chuquiraga is the national flower of Ecuador and grows natively in Ecuador and Peru in mountain highland areas between 3,000-5,000 meters (9,842-13,123 feet) above sea level.

Happy World Book Day!

Thanks to the pandemic I started to read books again. Now, even when life gets messy or sometimes out of control I'll find some time to sit in my cozy corner with a good book and a favourite tea.
I've always dreamed of having a library at home one day. Not just the regular books I read but also our own travel photo books that we create after each trip. Browsing through these books helps me get inspired and fired up when motivation is lacking.
As Cicero once said, “A room without books is like a body without a soul.”

Well, I didn't feel like pulling out the camera in the rain last weekend but I wasn't able to resist getting a new profile pic for Steve. Getting drenched for 3 days in a row he still can't stop smiling!

Which one do you like best? B&W or colour, helmet or no helmet? I can't decide. 🤷‍♀️

Trying to spark some fire and passion back into photography. We all go through a time when we feel uninspired. Everything is a struggle and creativity suffers. Last few months, I've been working hard to rekindle some of that passion. Watching other people create and then set up some personal projects is the way to move on, at least for me.
The first project is on storytelling.
It's about The Open Crossfit competition that recently happened. There were so many excuses in my head why not to do it - laziness, what's the point of shooting this, the gym doesn't look great in the photos, the light is horrible, I can't set up a light or two, it's too busy, I will be in everyone's way... and the list goes on. Luckily the other part of my brain won - just go out there and do it and deal with the challenges as they appear. And here is the result.

Photographing food is definitely something I don't do very often. I find it very enjoyable, especially when you get to work with Table Nineteen talented crew.

Dark and moody in the winter months, Na Pali Coast is one of the most beautiful coastlines I have ever seen. There are only 3 ways to see it: by boat, from the air or hiking. I am glad I was able to experience it in all three ways.

Sometimes having no plan leads to a beautiful sunset. 😍

We got soaked and cold but I wouldn't have it any other way.
Maui surprised us with an unexpected storm and flash floods but we lucked out by heading out with for whale watching.
Sun, rain, incredible views, moody skies, rainbow, and lots of whales! We had it all! ☀️🌧️⛰️🌈🐳

Off to explore some rugged coasts and beaches of Hawaii.

We are getting excited! 2 more days and we are heading somewhere warm!☀️🌊⛰🏖

I forgot how beautiful winter could be when mother nature delivers.

While archiving some photos, I reflect on 2022 and plan for 2023. It was an interesting year to say at least - there were some ups and downs, challenges, a loss, last-minute overnight trips, epic summer, and a bit of traveling.

I'm so grateful for all the incredible experiences and I can't wait to see what 2023 holds. Here are some of my favorite photos from each month of 2022.

Happy New Year, everyone!

Earlier this year, my friend The Bodhi Tree and Stacey and I decided to make some changes in our lives and get a fresh start and some inspiration back. We gave ourselves to write 101 dreams by the end of the year to spark a new passion and energy into our projects and lives.
It's been an interesting process - from writing down the first 10 or so without thinking to blank stares at the paper and not making progress for weeks. It made me dig deep and really think about what I really want from life and how to get there. What are the little things that I love and never have time for? What did I dream about as a kid and forgot about it? What would I do if money was not an object?
I now have 92 dreams big and small and still have to come up with 9 until Monday when we meet and go through our lists.

So if you have any dreams or resolutions for the next year, let's hear them! Maybe I can borrow a few to complete my list. 😉🥂🎉

I know most people will not agree with me but winter is a season of planning and preparation. At least that's the current mood. 🤷‍♀️
