#1. - The Rotary Club of Whistler is, once again, the Charity of choice and is presenting the Cornucopia 2024 Silent Auction. The theme this year is "KEEPING WHISTLER SAFE AND STRONG". The Silent Auction opens November 7th and closes on the 17th and all are invited to participate in the auction by following the QR code and browsing the wide variety of interesting items donated by local businesses and individuals. All proceeds go to local charities. Thank you.

Whistler Rotary had a great time volunteering at the 2024 Whistler Grand Fondo. Congratulations to everyone who participated and thank you to all our fellow volunteers!

The Rotary Club of Whistler and friends got together for an evening of good cheer on the patio of Nicklaus North Golf Course. We also presented a cheque for $2,500 to the newly formed Whistler Elders Enrichment Society as seed funds for getting the organization established.

The Rotary Club of Whistler, and Friends of Rotary were out in force for the 3rd annual July 1 Pancake Breakfast as part of the RMOW's July 1st Celebration activities. Close 2,000 pancakes were flipped and $5500 raised for disbursement to local charities. Thank you Whistler residents and visiting guests for the great support.

Dutch-born conductor Arthur Arnold, co-founder and Artistic Director of the Pacific Region International Summer Music Association (PRISMA Festival & Academy) on Canada’s west coast in Powell River BC. Arthur was gracious enough to come and speak to our Rotary Club member group.

Our Story
Over almost five decades, the Rotary Club of Whistler has been hard at work to contribute both to our community and to the world beyond.
Among initiatives at the local level, we provide annual scholarships to Whistler High School graduates, and we are the lead on forestry interpretive signage and trail maintenance projects. We've built special chairs for the Whistler Olympic Plaza and a cabin for district Scouts. Each year, we respond to requests from local organizations to fund projects mainly for our schools, library, adaptive sports, and Whistler heritage.
Internationally, we're the lead fundraiser and advisor for a multi-year community development project in Uganda. We support projects of other clubs and contribute annually to the sponsorship of a village teacher in Bangladesh, and to the Rotary Help Network. We've also held major fundraisers for Polio Plus. As issues arise throughout the world, we respond quickly with donations to ShelterBox Canada and other aid organizations. Lastly, we’re always very pleased to co-host the Whistler visits of Rotary exchange students, study groups, and Rotaractors.
