This business needs to stand its ground in neighborhoods like Forest Hill, Rosedale, and Lawrence Park. Potential new clients need to feel confident about making inquiries, so this branding and logo project needed to convey dependable, experienced, and skillful. Don't you think this logo suggests the floor plans that clients will be considering? The typography is elegant but modern, and the royal purple and olive green are a high-end combination.
"Cathie was extremely intuitive when it came to our company's needs. Through her process she identified our brand and logo which both were beyond our expectations. Cathie was professional and very easy to work with. I am looking forward to working with Cathie on future design and marketing opportunities."
It's always wonderful to hear kind words from a client, and better still to know that Creatiful Studio was able to meet and exceed their business requirements. This project was a rebrand for an experienced, professional company ready to take their business to the next level. Creating a productive working relationship is valuable in the long term, and I always look forward to ongoing work growing a client's business and brand. You probably saw that there was a need for your service/product that wasn't being met. This may be the key to your brand. It differentiates you from other businesses...you are offering something new and different. Focussing your brand work here separates you from the crowd and helps to define your unique brand identity. There's no point trying to look like the others. Be you. People will notice, and that's what you want.
Bruce Mau is a home-grown, internationally famous graphic designer. At least, he started as a graphic designer and has since applied his creativity in many endeavours. He founded the Bruce Mau Studio in Toronto, and has received many national and international awards and accolades for his design. In 1998, he wrote the epic "Incomplete Manifesto for Growth", a list of 43 guiding principles to finding creativity. For many, many years I kept this list on my office wall and consulted it daily. What an inspiration. "Process is more important than outcome" Is one of the prompts that I have adopted in my work. With my clients, I follow a good process, without knowing where we will end up. When we are finished the project, we have ended up exactly where we should have. To learn more about Bruce Mau and see his complete manifesto, visit: http://ow.ly/A4ET50MO9Ql
If you think your storefront sign can only be over the window and the full width of your storefront, think again. There are a lot of options for you to consider. Maybe you can use your windows to great effect, or consider that a smaller sign with have a bigger impact. Using contrasting colours, for example, can make a big impression, without a big sign. You can save money by being creative about your signage and stand out from your neighbours. Talk it through wtih Creatiful Studio.

Geared to young teens, this teacher’s side gig () promotes writing skills and storytelling with creativity through a D&D-style game. Fun and adventure are projected in this brand, which included a logo, website, and a player workbook. We had to ensure that the functionality of the Wordpress site matched their needs and so registration, a calendar, payments, and a shop were developed with some great plugins.

Brand and Marketing Consulting: The Employment and Training Services division of the John Howard Society Durham () is very active in our community and required an identity of its own, although related to the JHSD. The development of this logo and identity led to a review of all of the customer facing messaging for them and made big improvements. Christina, Michelle, Rachel, and the other dedicated staff have worked hard with Creatiful Studio to determine what they need to communicate to other local agencies and their clients. Digital flyers for each of their core programs now target key messaging, and contribute to the overall professional communication for the agency. Their social media feed is now much more deliberate and impactful.
