Want to build strength and endurance in your back without ever hurting it? Practice the โBird Dogโ.ย
Get down on your hands and knees and brace your abdominals. Extend one leg out along with the opposite arm. Stay square to the ground and hold for 10 seconds. Bring arm and leg back in and change sides. Do 8 tp 10 rounds but don't let yourself get too tired. If you find this too difficult just put your leg out and then your arm.
๐ฅ Nutrition ๐ฅ
One way to boost testosterone and get quality sleep is to eat pumpkin seeds. They are rich source of Zinc, which helps with testosterone & tryptophan which will help with quality sleep. The body converts this amino acid into serotonin and then again into the sleep inducing hormone melatonin. Ladies this is important to you too! (Particularly after listening to us guys a day ๐)
๐ฃ Breathing ๐ซ
How many breathe at rest, per minute, constitutes functional breathing?
As we have seen, breathing through the nose and using your diaphragm are major components to breathing properly. But how many breaths per minute is best?
It is best to breathe at a rate of 6 breaths per minute inhaling and exhaling through the nose. So try the following exercise for a few minutes:
Inhale for 4 seconds then exhale for 6 seconds. This will help you stay calm at all times and has huge health benefits!
๐ฃ Breathing ๐ฎโ๐จ
A couple of weeks ago we showed you how to take your BOLT score (Blood Oxygen Level Test). How many seconds can you hold your breath after an exhale until the first indication of wanting to breathe.
If your score was 10 seconds or less you are extremely sensitive to Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and this will need to improve health and exercise performance.
A score of 11 of 20 shows improvement is needed to reach your potential as some dysfunctional breathing is still happening
A score of 25 seconds to 40 shows a good tolerance to CO2 which is ideal. Improving your score to this level will elevate both your overall health and exercise/athletic performance.
Every increase of 5 seconds brings tremendous benefits.
๐๐ปโโ๏ธ Training ๐๏ธโโ๏ธ
Do you love to exercise hard? Do you enjoy HIIT programs? Thatโs great but donโt over due it. If you are looking to increase your endurance then pass the โTalk Testโ. Donโt start your next set until you can talk. This will stimulate your aerobic metabolism without overwhelming it, creating better adaptations over time.

๐ฃ BREATHING ๐จ
Want better sleep, better exercise performance and to stay calmer?
Start by measuring your BOLT score (Blood Oxygen Level Test). Breathe in through your nose, out through your nose, and then hold your breath. How long until you feel the need to breathe? Measure this in seconds. This will indicate how well you tolerate carbon dioxide.
Better carbon dioxide tolerance = better physical performance ๐ซ
๐ง๐ฝPOSTURE & BALANCE ๐คธ๐ผโโ๏ธ
2 of the most important aspects of good training is posture & balance.
Stand with one foot in front of the other (heel to toe). Stay in that position for 30 seconds with no postural sway and with proper posture. Slowly move your head up then down, after that then move your head left to right.
