DONE!!!! Finally, the 2 halves are whole again. Hoping bringing the painting station for the birds back out out of the basement helps encourage more spontaneous paintability and less mental avoidance or "out of sight, out of mind" procrastination. Old paints have been stirred, birds that have been collecting dust have been sorted and cleaned. Brushed at the ready, here's looking to the future with hope. 💜

Still not feeling 100%. But I couldn't stand to look at that box anymore! One step closer to my cunning plan being complete! Then we celebrated with sushi and watching Sailor Moon. Not too terrible a mother's day. 😊Now back to my covid corner and my bottle of Robitussin. 🤧

Desk #2 has arrived after a small blip in the first attempt to purchase it. Sadly I have now been waylaid by Covid. 😭 Thought I escaped it when my kids and hubby had it a few weeks agi... but woke up feeling rough today. Hopefully I can get back to work before the end of the week! I'm getting so close to my end game with all of this silliness.

Something is happening...
Putting it all out there.... again...
Mental health is hard. Being a mom is hard. Having kids with exceptionalities is hard. Being a mom with mental health struggles while trying to cope with and find help for your kids with exceptionalities while trying to figure out the root of your own health issues is more than I can handle most days. And trying to find enough of a balance where I can get back to my birds on a regular has proven ... tricky. (Read impossible).
There is hope around the corner. Things are moving, shifting, and we are sifting through the muck. I still am struggling to regain the spark I once had. But it's still there, waiting. All my notes, my ideas, my promises. All still sitting there, watching me. While I don't know how long it will take to find my joy in art again, I will not give up. And the birds aren't gone forever... just dormant, sleeping, waiting for their chance to fly again.

~As a part of “A Bird for Every Reason”, I started offering Angel Baby Birds to help grieving parents remember and memorialize their difficult losses. But after a few years of having to ask heartbroken mothers to pay for these very special keepsakes I decided on taking them to a new level. I am working on ways to find and raise extra funds, including accepting donations, that will be specifically used to cover the cost of these particular birds so that they can be gifted to the mothers and fathers who have lost a piece of their heart.~
