Meal Train Plus for The McAllister Family Dear friends, I’m afraid I have some hard news. I found out this past Tuesday that my cancer has returned and is in my lungs. It looks to be the same cancer that was in my kidneys. Apparently traveling to the lungs is a path it can take. This, of course, is not good. The ER doctor made that clear....

I would like to let my friends know that my mom's memorial will be on April 20th in Abbotsford at Seedling Church (formerly Abbotsford Baptist Church) on the corner of Busby and Hillside. Time of the service will be 1:00 pm.

We were blessed to have our friend Ross Hastings preach last Sunday on the hiddenness and revealedness of Jesus amidst our storms in life. A powerful and timely word.

Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week, a time when Christians reflect on the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and his journey to the cross. It is a day of great significance in the Christian calendar and one that reminds us of the humility and love of our Savior.

DAY OF ASHES

“Remember, you are dust and to dust you shall return.”

Lent is the 40 days (excluding Sundays) from Ash Wednesday until the Saturday before easter Sunday. Lent invites us to consider the fragility of life and the brokenness of our world. It’s a season to let God refine us by His grace through prayer, fasting, and service looking towards Holy Week with open hearts and preparing for the death of Jesus and His resurrection.

Congratulations to these wonderful newlyweds and from your Uptown family!!

We remember and reflect on the sacrifice and courage of Canada's veterans and those loved ones they left behind. We also honour those who returned home and will never forget your bravery and service. Thank you to all our veterans, past and present.

This coming Sunday the 26th starts the week long pray walk for Surrey.

If you are interested, join us along with the other local churches of South Surrey/ White Rock to pray for our city and walk the streets.

Getting started is easy. Pick a street from the website and commit to walking it and praying each day for one week!

We encourage you to pray for ‘blessing’ and ‘breakthrough’ for each home and street in our communities and city.
