Congratulations to retired Windsor Police constable Neil McEachrane, who won the Alton C. Parker Award at last night’s Windsor Police Awards banquet!

The award, presented by Alton C. Parker’s granddaughter Cherie Steele-Sexton, recognizes an individual for their dedication to serving the community and fostering an environment of inclusion, empowerment, and potential while breaking down societal barriers.

During his time as our Diversity, Inclusion, and Recruitment Officer, Neil established partnerships that formed the blueprint for how police can build strong connections with the community we serve.

Neil identified the unique circumstances that exist for diverse community members and worked collaboratively with them on effective and meaningful engagement. He made it a point to, as he puts it, “talk to the community and let them know police are just like they are,” which in turn helped to break down barriers and develop a greater level of trust between the service and the public.

Thank you, Neil, for your commitment to our community!
