When taking on a new client it is important you get to know them & their business. You will be representing their brand and/or personality online so to be able to reflect that is VERY important. Here are 3 questions to ask a new client before you start caption writing and creating content for them:

⭐️ Which type of audience do you want your business to attract to the most? (Age, gender, region, personality type, etc.)

⭐️ What is your companies culture? (Define who the brand is, the language they use and their purpose for having their business).

⭐️ What specific emojis/phrases would you use or not use? (This can be useful for when replying to comments or DM’s as well as caption writing).

When starting out with any business, use what you have as best as you can. For Socially, I started with that I had and invested in more technology as I made money through my business. Start taking pictures with your phone, schedule and upload your content using free apps (such as Meta Business Suite, and yes, I am using it to upload this post right now), even edit using free apps (Lightroom & CapCut are amazing!!!).

Put in more time researching and educating yourself on the niche you want to pursue first. You don't need the fanciest camera or the newest iPhone to create content and build a social media management business. How I look at it, I would rather waste my time than a significant amount of money, if it didn't work out.

Are you finding yourself always burnt out? Never feeling you’re getting enough done in a day? Here are some habits to help!!⬇️

1. Focus less on stressful things. Stress can consume a lot of your energy. When you find yourself stressing about things you can’t control, fixate your mind on things you can control. Create a list of things you’ve accomplished and add a couple things you still have the energy to do.
2. You already know what’s coming.. DRINK WATER!!! This is HUGE! Drink water. I’m serious. Add anything you need to make it more appealing: fruit, a straw, ice, an umbrella??? WHO CARES! Just do it.
3. You MUST get 8 hours of sleep! If you’re running on empty, you’re not gunna get anywhere far, anytime soon. SLEEP! Don’t feel bad about taking naps to recharge. Everything is ok in moderation.
4. Create a schedule for yourself. Give yourself a certain amount of time for each task you want to accomplish through out the day. Save yourself times for meals, relaxing and of course, SLEEP.

Although some of these may seem basic, they are all essential for your first steps to stop burning out. Remember these are habits which will get easier over time. Don’t give up! 🥰🥰🥰

Something is better than nothing. At least I have a somewhat social media presence than nothing at all.

Having a sloppy, half-as*ed social media page can have a more negative affect on a business than not having one at all. Social media is your first impression to potential customers, clients or even employees. Showing up on social media once in a while, or when you feel like it isn’t enough. Posting alone, isn’t enough. Engaging with other accounts within your niche and creating a community is what will separate you from other business and make you stand out.

Here are a few tips on how to ELEVATE your Insta Reels!

⭐️ Create quality content that people can either use or learn from. When making reels, people are going to like/save it when there is value in the reel. Create something that people will want to come back to look later or learn from later. This keeps your audience wanting to come back to your profile in general!!

⭐️ Make sure your clips are short and match the beat of the song. When creating reels, it is key to keep the clips in time with the beat of the song and no longer than 2 seconds long each (usually 0.9 seconds or less works good!). The video as a whole should be anywhere from 7-15 seconds to keep people interested and to be sure they actually watch the whole thing!

⭐️ If the reel doesn't quite go with your main feed, instead of hiding the reel create a reel cover in Canva! This is super easy and there are hundreds of free templates that can be used. There is also a free photo library you can use if you don't have a good picture to match with your feed.

It is crazy to me that we live in times where enjoying your job is frowned upon. Where building your own business means you will just fail and give up. Although people from the outside try to tear you down, just remember it is simply due to their insecurities and lack of motivation. Just because they hate their life they want everyone else around them to too. Don't let it get to you. Wish them the best and keep moving forward. If you put any energy into them, it'll just slow you down.

Rather than creating 10 half-a** posts every week, produce half the amount and spend double the time on your posts. People appreciate when they can tell you've put in effort. They are also more likely to save or like a post that has good detailed information. A simple picture with not much to offer information wise won't cut it anymore. Put in the effort and see your account GROW!

The truth is, it isn't too late to start. When it comes to it can be done anywhere at anytime, all you need is a phone or laptop. You make the rules, you make the schedule, which is amazing as it sounds but can also hurt you. You MUST make a schedule for yourself just as your work does for you. Start with whatever you can, even an hour a week. Baby steps are still steps and once the ball starts rolling, it'll be harder to stop than to keep going. Just do the first push, gain some momentum and you'll see for yourself! 🥰
