Sneak peek of the Blue MCM dresser as I just realized I never posted it here! 😅

This antique buffet got a double makeover AND went to its new happy home 💙

First it was painted in a Ginger Tea colour, but ultimately decided to repaint it in French Colony by as per my client’s pick which turned out fabulous!

🍀 Happy St Patty’s! 🍀 These are detail shots of some of my favourite green pieces I’ve done. It’s one of my favourite colours to work with and as you can see in my stories, I’m already dying to use it again!

Dropping off this incredible bedroom set today along with their 4 poster bed frame - super excited to get it set up and see how it looks! 💙

One of my favorite things refinishing pieces is seeing where they end up, it’s really cool and honestly such a surreal moment of “oh my gosh someone has a piece that *I* freaking painted”. I just absolutely love helping and seeing my clients’ vision come to life!

When I originally got this 9 drawer mid century dresser, I knew it was going to be a lot of work to get it where I envisioned but would be so worth it. This challenge amongst lots of amazing refinishers really pushed me and I’m incredibly proud of the end result 🖤

✨First I completely stripped every drawer twice and sanded so it was smooth. Some were solid wood, some veneer so had to be careful and know which was which.

✨Filled in all the dings on the body for a seamless look. The middle drawers’ original handle slots got almost 7 layers of bondo and wood filler to get it completely smooth. Used white aqualock to prime as I knew this wasn’t going to have bleedthru and I love aqualock’s smooth finish.

✨Ultimately decided to go with Sandstone by (and I stinking love it - like literally my new favourite colour!) for the body and middle drawers. Used my to hand paint. The side drawers and legs got paint washed with Algonquin by . Sealed with satin poly by . Drawers salved with Cactus Blossom by . And of course, new modern pulls to top it off!

I LOVE refinishing dressers and maybe you love seeing them, but not sure where to put in your home…

This little mini guide is for you! There’s so many ways dressers can be used; they are just so versatile. Great for really any place that you need storage, which as a girl myself, basically means everywhere!

So not only a conversation starter, cause I mean they absolutely are, but they actually provide you space for storage, and keeping clutter contained - especially when visitors come!

This rare hand painted demilune cabinet from the 1930s was given a full glow up. Primed with restoration. I then painted the exterior in Coastal Breeze and also redid inside to make it brighter with Dew Drops, both by . New handles to replace the 1 missing original teardrop. Sealed with satin poly by .

• c u s t o m // s o l d • Originally painted in a dark gray, they wanted to do a full turnaround on this tv stand going white. Added black wax for that rustic vibe and stained the top with a custom mix for that greyish barnwood look.

Easily one of my top favourite style of dresser to work on and look at (I seriously need to keep one of them one day as they’re hard enough to find - this being my second similar kind)

Lots of my clients struggle with deciding on colours or even what style piece so this is the first of many other series ideas that I’m starting to help showcase and help you decide! First one is on Mid Century Modern which is one of my personal favourite furniture AND interior styles.

Tell me - is this your style? For me, it is in my living room. It feels open and minimalist that way, which I like, especially if company comes over!

What’s my obsession with vintage furniture you ask? ⬇️ This is just ONE reason..

I think it’s amazing that they can be passed down through generations. The fact that your grandparents 👵 👴 used and loved them, they’re still solid and intact, and now you get to use it. Truthfully with time, trends and designs change, so being able to refinish them so you absolutely love them gives me all the feels. Nevermind when baby 🤰comes along and you want to continue to pass down. These pieces are built so solid that they can withstand multiple refinishing styles to continue passing down in your family.

Do you have any cool furniture pieces from your family?

•a v a i l a b l e • Have you ever seen such a piece before?! Most antiques tend to have lots of curvy detail pieces, but I was obsessed with how clean this was with simple fluted lines down the centre.

I wanted a colour that could both be classic, but also very modern and I think I pulled it off. This is Ginger Root by - such a hard colour to explain but like a soft tan, with yellow-green undertones.

🕷SpOoKy SeAsOn got me thinking about black! 🕷 Would you dare paint your wall(s) dark?!

This living space by has me in awe. I love how rich the black wall feels; luxurious but also very soothing.

Dark accent walls can be amazing and are on trend lately. They’re great for pulling your attention (just don’t leave too blank a slate), or for bringing your eye up (ahem those high ceilings). It pairs well with creams, leather, gold tones and greenery 🌱

Swipe to see full view! 🖤 This Mid Century dresser came to me in one of the worst conditions. Drawers all mixed up - if you know vintage furniture, this is frustrating to figure the right spots; absolutely filthy and dusty, plus purple glitter glue stuff all over the top. This took a lot of time to sand down, but gosh am I ever glad I did!

What do you think of this?! I usually gravitate towards Mid Century style but this was graciously given to me to makeover and I adore its traditional vibes 🖤

Fully solid wood, so it’s one hella heavy piece, nevermind this is probably the longest piece I’ve worked on so far! The bottom ledge warped upwards causing the lower drawers not to fully go in, so we first had to pull it down and install an L bracket. Painted in ’s newest shade, Hazelwood, and sealed with black wax. The top got sanded and stained in black by . Plus all new modern handles.

• A V A I L A B L E • This vintage cutie was my first piece I tried Fusion Mineral Paint] on. I used their color Champlain which is a soft cream and then stain in Brazilian Rosewood. I usually do larger scale dressers but wanted a small piece to get a feel for the new-to-me paint and something quick to do between other projects. I couldn’t resist the handles on this piece and kept them completely original. Sealed with matte poly.

You’ve probably noticed I already posted a few pieces done with Fusion Mineral Paint], usually my quick in between pieces get done fast but then for some reason I procrastinate them for photos 😅

This Kent Coffey French provincial style dresser was painted with Sacred Sage by (likely my top all time favourite color!) with the top sanded down and whitewashed, then finished with matte poly by .

I had to share this set again and how the morning light hits. It is such a chameleon colour and the reason I custom made this paint was due to the trending boho style. Wood, tassels, light tone colors look so great with this deeply moody almost black-green.

Sneak peek at the French provincial set I was working on this week. I can’t wait to show you this colour chameleon where it’s a dark evergreen in natural lighting and then changes to the most beautiful dark mint.

This blanket chest is from the huge 6 piece French Provincial set I recently finished. It was a two tone set, with the rest painted in a soft white.

This was probably my favorite piece as it was my first chest I got to paint and I just adore this deep moody black!
