I think it's important to note here these are not cavities, but the effects of an extreme amount of fluoride in the ground water when our patient was growing up in Ethiopia. Such a fun case. Lumos 🪄

This was a really fun and rewarding case. Our patient needed help restoring his smile before his upcoming wedding. The failed crowns were replaced on the centrals. Unfortunately, the 22 wasn't restorable so I opted for a single wing Maryland off the 23. Such a great guy, and I think his new smile brings out his true personality!

This was a fun case to rebuild a patients confidence and smile before their big wedding day! I used a single winged Maryland here off the 23 and replaced a the crowns on the centrals. Just an amazing guy who I got to know over the course of treatment, and I really feel this new smile reflects his true personality.

At first I thought the stamp technique was kind of excessive; do you really need perfect posterior occlusal anatomy? Nobody's looking right? Actually since taught me this little trick I find that it's a bit of a time saver. No occlusal adjustments, and perfect ready to polish anatomy with minimal fuss. Plus... It's fun and looks cool! This was a great case to challenge myself as the 37 had it's original groovy anatomy in tact and the 36 was a broken down amalgam. In the end the stamp won 😂 but I'm always striving to get my hand skills better.

Learning is always more fun with your friends! In dental school .ca used to painfully snap rubber dam clamps on me and we'd practice freezing each other. Luckily we're still friends and partners, and we continue spending countless hours training and improving our skills. Looks like we're working the deep fryer here but we're actually placing dental implants.

This tooth arrived in rough shape! Slightly tricky isolation but I find these cases pretty fun as long as the patient knows that you're trying hard to extend the life of the tooth. Slight distal margin elevation and ids allowed us to bond this eMax resto into place. He's got an even tougher one to fix on the other side of the arch 😂 stay tuned.

So what am I looking at through those loupes? The black dam is thick and heavy, and ideal for retracting tissues. Here the primary indication was to make this picture look as cool as possible. Custom clamps made this one more manageable. Unfortunately not the prettiest crownlay, and we'll have to freshen up the rest of the arch in the future.

FOCUS! I recently switched to higher mag loupes after 10 years at 2.5X. The first day I felt slightly nauseous tbh, but now I don't know how I ever practiced without them! I'm now up to 4.6X. Do you practice with loupes? I've heard different arguments on both sides, but it's an necessity for me 🤓. Maybe a microscope in the future 🤔

So many steps for such a small fix! After an amazing 5 canal NSRCT by , I decided to try and keep the resto as conservative as possible based on the tiny access. This one broke the record for times the temp fell out 😂 real ones hanging on so far 😬

This is my pal Aman. He had an accident that damaged his front teeth, and needed root canals and crowns to repair them. After many years he was no longer happy with his smile and wanted a more natural look. This was a really challenging case mainly because of the details and characteristics of Aman's natural teeth. With the help of .hebertcdt and the expertise of we were able to use eLab to communicate and achieve a pretty great result! We had fun on this one.

A challenge with this case were removing the existing crowns and refining the preps. You never really know what's underneath! The main challenge was how much character Aman's natural teeth had! His previous crowns were nice, but lacked the variety of colours and details. I worked with .hebertcdt and used Elab to let him use his artistry to get a near perfect match. Couldn't have done this one without my partner in crime .
