It’s a rare treat that we get to share some of the process that goes into the work on the wall. Gerald Folkerts’ “Ralph” from the Head over Heels series was that opportunity. Pictured are Folkert’s reference photos and sketchbook with the concept drawing. The final piece is on view in Escape in Place: Inspirations from the Permanent Collection curated by Colleen Leduc.   All visitors should make an appointment, indicating what day they would like to see the show. Make an appointment to visit by e-mailing Tanya Gadd at [email protected]    Updated safety measures: All gallery visitors will require proof of vaccination at the hospital entrance. 📷 Gerald Folkerts Ralph Acrylic on canvas N.D. A sweet corner from Escape in Place: Inspirations from the Permanent Collection!   Colleen Leduc, our guest curator chose pieces from our collection of over 400 works of art to immerse us in the beauty found in the everyday, right here at home. The changing seasons, the warm glow of a corner store, or a bird taking flight invite the viewer to reflect on the beauty of everyday experiences, moments from history, or personal reminiscences.    📷 Captions in order: Bryan Nemish, Mahogany, 2000, Oil on Board Bryan Nemish, Black Hills, 2010, Oil on Canvas Beth Hiscox, Storm Warning, 2002, Acrylic on Canvas All of these works are gifts of Jauna Hannesson @colleenjleduc

Surprisingly difficult to photograph! Julie Gendron's multimedia sculpture "And, Other, Etceteras" is now on display at the Buhler Galley. Only 28 days left to come see the show Dura Mater: Objective/Subjective visit our website for hours and visitor information. galeriebuhlergallery.ca
