So it’s been a while since I posted. Covid happening shut down what we just got up and running with the walk in Center and by doing so it gave me a chance to think about where I want to continue to spent my time.
I won’t lie!!! Trying to get mental health support in Yarmouth was a huge blindside that sucked the life completely out of me. I had no idea that even tho government talked the good talk on “supporting mental health” trying to access funds from them was mentally draining!!!! And non existent. Every grant I wrote, call/email I sent, outreach I made, all doors led to CLOSED. “Yarmouth has adequate mental health support”. Well, we know that just isn’t true.
So after a year and a half of thinking I’m wondering where to best use my time or do I even want to take On this battle again ?? YES! In fact I do 😊. However I’m going to be looking at this from a different perspective. So here is a little survey you can help me with.
1) what mental health support do you feel is priority
2) how would you like to see support delivered
3) what subject matter should be the focus
