Indonesia is sometimes criticized for having a complicated and ambiguous process of getting a visa, including a spouse visa, or also known as spouse-sponsored marriage visa. But one thing for sure is that this can be dealt efficiently with the proper research and the engagement of a professional consulting firm.

You may be wondering what a spouse visa is. It is a visa type among several others, for foreigners who married Indonesian nationals. There are two types of spouse visa: spouse-sponsored KITAS (Kartu Izin Tinggal Terbatas) and spouse-sponsored KITAP (Kartu Izin Tinggal Tetap). KITAS is a Limited Stay Permit and KITAP is a Permanent Stay Permit. In most cases, KITAS serves as the foundation for you to apply for KITAP.

REQUIREMENTS FOR A SPOUSE VISA IN INDONESIA
While being married to an Indonesian citizen is the first requirement you must have to get a spouse visa, you will also need an official marriage certificate approved by the government in Indonesia.

Getting Married in Indonesia vs. Abroad
The best way to apply for a spouse visa is to do it directly in Indonesia. According to marriage law in Indonesia, the marriage to your Indonesian spouse is legitimate only when it is performed in accords to the regulations and the religious beliefs of both the husband and wife in Indonesia.

Authorized offices that can perform the marriages are local mosques or Muslim (Kantor Urusan Agama) and civil registry offices (Kantor Catatan Sipil).

On the other hand, if you get married outside of Indonesia, a marriage certificate from your country of origin is not sufficient. A CNI (Certificate of No Impediment to Marriage) is required along with your official marriage certificate. Both documents need to be translated into Indonesian language and notarized in Indonesia.

Do you know that there is only 3% of fresh water that we can use from the whole planet?

Our world consists :
97% is the ocean (which is salt water that we cannot use)
3% is fresh water with 2% locked in glacier and ground water
So it is only 1% of usable water for us all to use.

So safe water safe life! ❤️

SINGLE ENTRY BUSINESS VISA

This visa provides you 60 days of initial stay upon your entry to Indonesia. You also have the option to extend this visa up to 4 times. Each extension will provide you with another 30 days. Thus, the Single Entry Business Visa allows you to stay in the country for a total of 180 days (approximately 6 months). However, please note that this visa is a single entry visa. If you leave the country before the visa expires, your visa will be automatically cancelled and you will have to reapply for a new visa before you can re-enter Indonesia.

To apply for a Single Entry Business Visa, first of all you need to have sponsorship from an Indonesian company (local PT or PMA). In the case where you require this particular type of visa, yet you don’t have a sponsor that meets the mentioned requirements, we can provide you with a sponsor for a competitive fee in addition to the visa fee as paid to the Embassy/Consulate. To process this visa, you will need an approval letter (also known as telex visa) issued by the Directorate General of Immigration in Jakarta. The process of issuing an approval letter takes approximately 10 working days.

01/06/2017

To apply for a Spousal KITAS, you must be sponsored by an Indonesian spouse.
The requirements are copies of the following documents, each one of them is printed in color:

- Valid passport (must be valid for at least another 2 years)
- Spouse ID (KTP) and Family Card (KK)
- Spouse Bank Statement
- Marriage Certificate

The process :

First of all, you can simply start by submitting all the above requirements. When we have received all requirements, we will start the process of recommendation and telex visa at the Central Immigration Office located in Jakarta. This stage of the process takes between 2 up to a maximum 3 weeks. After the telex visa is issued, you have to go to any Indonesian Embassy of your choice (though we recommend you to go to the Embassy of The Republic of Indonesia in Singapore) with your telex visa, and you will be provided with your visa.

Once you have collected your visa, you can return to Indonesia to continue this process by submitting your passport to us. We will take it from there and process your KITAS at the Bali Immigration Office. This final stage of the process takes approximately 10 working days until your KITAS is issued. Thus, the entire process required to issue a Spousal KITAS takes an average of 1 month of processing time.

The requirements to apply for a Retirement KITAS are as follows:
- Applicants must be at least 55 years old
- Copy of valid passport
- Retirement Income statement/Bank statement (without limit)
- Health / life insurance policy
- Current address in Bali
- Copy of Bali property’s lease agreement
- Copy of property owner’s ID
- Copy of Indonesian housekeeper’s /driver’s ID
- Photo ( 3x4 cm, white background, 2 pieces)

The process :
You can start this process by sending us all requirements (except for the photos) through email.
After we have received all the required documents, we will process the recommendation and telex visa at the Central Immigration Office located in Jakarta. This stage of the process will take approximately 3-4 weeks. After the telex visa is issued , you have to go to any Indonesian Embassy of your choice (though we recommend going to the Embassy of The Republic of Indonesia in Singapore) with the telex visa, and you will be provided with your visa.

Once the visa is collected at the Embassy, you can return to Indonesia, submit your passport to us, and we will process your KITAS at the Bali Immigration Office. This final stage of the process takes approximately 15 working days until your KITAS is issued. Thus, the entire process to issue a Retirement KITAS takes an average of 1.5 - 2 months.
