What a beautiful place to work at ❤️ however, it will change quite a bit once i start working on the acoustics. But for now, it gives me such a good vibe an creativity boost everytime i come here for working on some music 🎧

Even with the new M2Pro-processor, bouncing a whole LP takes like f.o.r.e.v.e.r... however, i am using the time to brain-melt about how i want to treat my little mixing-room acoustically so i can start using speakers here as well 🎧🎚️🚀

Will update you on the album that's just getting exported from cubase once it releases as well as the whole process about the whole studio-must-now-sound-better-project, stay tuned

Always fully concentrated when working on music 🎛️🎚️

Hearing what's actually there is crucial for makeing the right decisions. That's why we trust on quality headphones to ensure our room is not influencing the tonality of what we are hearing too much. Of course, listening to a good pair of speakers in a well-treated room is also part of the process, but the big part of our mixes is done on cans.

Also music nowadays is mostly listened to on either headphones or boom-boxes (or phone-speakers...) so we adapted to that fact and want to make sure your music sounds as good as it CAN (pun intended) on every possible playback device.

Back where it all began. To this day, this studio is still a big part of our services. For local customers, we offer recordings as well as mixing / mastering. There are some really nice microphones and preamps in there and the whole atmosphere just feels creative. However, the lack of daylight and windows made us look for another room just with mixing / mastering in mind. The acoustics in our new place are not perfect yet, but since we mostly work with different headphones anyway it's perfect to come back here after a week of mixing on headphones to do the final adjustments on speakers.

This time, it was all about recording drums and testing different preamps for the perfect bass-sound 🎵😄

Testing if the real grand piano in a normal room fits the needs for the lovely acoustic project of .konig
And it does so much 🥰 The AKG c414 are doing a wonderful job in capturing this beautiful instrument. The final recording is a little bit ahead, but we will have you updated 🎵

Before specializing in mixing and mastering, I started out with creating music. I spent years in finding the right sounds, slicing the sample, programming the drums and recording additional instruments. It took me some time to understand how crucial the mixing and mastering process afterwards is. Of course, good music will always be good music, even though it sounds bad. But it will only become truly great and ungorgettable music that really connects to the listener if it actually sounds fantastic.

I know a lot of people have great music on their computers, but can't get it to sound as good as the time and love spent into the production would justify.

⁣To put music into words is very difficult. For one thing, the experience of music is always subjective, and for another, there are no concrete words we can use.

A mix can't be 🔴red, 🟢green, or 🔵blue, for example. That's why we use words like airy, punchy, warm, bright, earthy, muddy and so on.

Even though we have developed an understanding of these terms over the years, they still leave a lot of room for interpretation.

That's why good clarification, ongoing communication during the mixing / mastering process, and reference songs are so important. The more information we have about your ideas and wishes, the more precisely we can work on implementing them.🎯🤓
