The Semi-Circle Basel congratulates long-time member
Roger Bonner on the publication by Tortive Lit Theatre Company of his mystery-thriller one-act play “Capri”!!

“Capri” was first performed in 2021 as part of the Semi-Circle’s “Twosomes” short play production starring Rik Deurloo and Valentina D’Alessandro. The play was then performed at FEATS (Festival of European Anglophone Theatrical Societies) in the summer of 2023, with Rik Deurloo and Alannah Burns, where it received a discretionary award for best final scene and was nominated for Best Original Script and Best Actress (Alannah Burns as Marissa). Both productions being ably directed by Samantha Levitt.

Once again, huge congratulations to Roger!

“God Of Carnage” a compelling dark comedy, won a Tony award for Best Play in 2009.

Directed for Semi-Circle
by Luca Manganelli and Valentina D’Alessandro, this play takes us on a relationship demolition journey as two sets of warring middle-class parents come together, desperately trying, and ultimately failing, to uphold a veneer of civility.

We will have 5 performances, over two weekends. The performances in March will be at Bau3 in Gundeldingerfeld, Basel, and the performances in April will take place at The Safe, Unternehmen Mitte, downtown Basel.
