The traditional 11th Blondes vs. Brunettes match will take place on Saturday, April 3 at 4PM Moscow time at the Central Chess House at 4PM Moscow time. 16 famous and titled chess players will take part in a friendly confrontation: 8 blondes and 8 brunettes. The game will start at 4pm. The Moscow Chess Federation is one of the partners of the event.
Playing for the national team of blondes are: Olga Girya, Valentina Gunina, Olga Badelka, Ekaterina Kovalevskaya, Alina Bivol, Maria Fominykh (captain), Elena Tomilova and Alexandra Maltsevskaya.
The team of brunettes will be represented by: Alexandra Kosteniuk (captain), Polina Shuvalova, Daria Voit, Marina Guseva, Baira Kovanova, Daria Charochkina Elmira Mirzoeva and Anastasia Paramzina.
The match will be held according to the Scheveningen system in 8 rounds, with a time control of 3 minutes per game plus 2 seconds per move.
The prize fund of the tournament will be 100,000 rubles.
