With the sun shining and the warmth (still) on our side, it’s the perfect evening for a run. ☀️ Rdv at *7pm* at the flower clock for our usual 6/9/10k routes. Afterwards, cool down with a drink (or drinks 😄) or ice cream at the Canopée. Let’s soak up the summer vibes and make it a strong finish to the day! 💪 can’t wait to see you there!

Good morning, all. Tonight is not the first Wednesday of the month, so we will follow the normal GRC routine. Meet at the Flower Clock at 7pm, set off for the standard 6 or 9 km routes and meet for a drink at a lakeside bar afterwards. Instead of Pavillion des kids, let’s go to the nearby Canopee bar https://maps.app.goo.gl/EcrvAQj6DYWu6HvE7?g_st=com.google.maps.preview.copy. It has a bit more shade and lets those who want to swim stay a bit closer to the runners.

We love trail racing and so a huge crew from GRC was recently in Grindelwald for the Eiger Ultra Trail by UTMB competing in the children's race, Trail Surprise, E16, E35, E51 and E101, along with many friends and family, we had an amazing time.

We don't post here often, but you can rest assured that we have run meets EVERY monday and wednesday at 19.00, meeting at the flower clock in Geneva, Switzerland. Expect 5-20 fellow runners on a Wednesday and 10-50 on a Monday. Two main routes are 7 and 9km, both with a decent hill. Afterwards: Tom Beers, Rue Montchoisy. If you want to come to the bar without running, its ok too as you can meet us in an informal setting. Edit: it's free, it's informal, no registration, just turn up and run. And if you tell us you are new, we do our best to make sure you don't get lost!

This Wednesday, we will meet at 19.00 at Parc Bastions/Place Neuve entrance to run the Escalade route together. Afterwards: Café Remor.

Tonight we will run on the Voie Verte, a traffic-free route between Eaux Vives and Annemasse. Meeting is the usual 19.00 at the flower clock and there will be volunteers doing 7km and 10km to help people with the route.

From the Flower Clock to the foot of the Eiger

The is a firm favourite for our club, and this year there are more than 70 of us here running every distance - from the trail surprise, the e16, e35, e51, e101 and even the e250.

We run as usual on Mondays and Wednesdays 19.00 Flower clock meet. Free, no registration. No bag drop. Run at your own risk. 6km, 9km, 10km routes. Usually a guide on hand to run the 6 or 9 with newcomers. Summer drinks usually at Pavilon des Kids after run.

Good luck to everyone taking part in the Tour de Canton this evening. For the rest of us, there is our usual run group meet at 19.00 at the Flower Clock, with the usual 6, 9 and 10km routes available (or your own variation). Let's decide at 19.00 on whether we go to the Kiosk by the lake or Big Ben afterwards.

We run every Monday and Wednesday evening. 19.00 meet Flower Clock at Jardin Anglais. 6 and 9km routes are most popular. No registration, just show up. We always welcome newcomers. And we will do our best to help you learn one of the routes. On Mondays there are so many people running it's just a matter of finding some people running at a similar pace to you. Afterwards we go to a bar, tonight its Big Ben in Rue du 31 Decembre.

Last night we bid a bientot to several of our most regular runners, Alastair, Lee, Suzanne, Tom and Zoe.

Alastair has been a driving force, quietly behind the scenes, since day 1, and we will miss him terribly! He’s one of those runners who is happy to run and chat, has run in every canton of Switzerland with an impressive road/trail medal collection, and if you’ve ever taken part in Samedi du partage with our group or worn one of our beautiful t-shirts, chances are it was Alastair who helped make that happen. Alastair leads with kindness, fun, spirit, and the strongest sense of community that has helped shaped GRC into the club that it is – all welcome, leave no one behind, just turn up and run.

At Geneva Run Club, everyone is part of the community, and we take it in turns to be Run Coordinator or Lantern Rouge, welcoming regulars and new runners every Monday or Wednesday evening, or mixing it up – every first Wednesday of the month, we do something a little different. In recent weeks we’ve run the Escalade route and on the Paquis side.
