Evidence shows that to***co companies seek to attract children and youth, including with targeted advertising and promotion. The to***co industry does this to recruit new to***co and ni****ne users as customers, especially as it needs to replace “customers” who die from to***co-related diseases.

To***co use is declining in 150 countries, and there are now 19 million fewer smokers globally than there were two years ago.
More than 90 countries increased their to***co excise tax between 2020 and 2022.
In December, WHO published a call to action to prevent the uptake of e-ci******es, along with a technical note on the evidence of the harm they do.
