MSF and other healthcare providers use GeneXpert tests in medical programs to quickly and accurately diagnose people with TB, HIV, hepatitis and other diseases, so we can administer the right treatment in time. However, the high prices of test cartridges means that many low- and middle-income countries cannot scale up testing for all people who need it. In September 2023, Danaher & Cepheid dropped the price of the main TB GeneXpert test by 20%, making TB diagnosis more accessible. But the tests for other life-threatening diseases like extensively drug-resistant TB, HIV, hepatitis, Ebola and more, still need to come down so people who need them most can access them.

For fun-loving 10-year-old Moussa, who was diagnosed with #diabetes at age 3, insulin pens allow him to take charge of his treatment and live a 'normal’ life. When he had to take syringe injections at home, some afternoons he missed school to return home for his injections. With insulin pens, he injects himself, giving him more freedom to be out and about. “I have been using insulin pens for the last year...I take it at home or at school and even when there’s a party.
