We have been asked the next question - What is the minimum required time to burn body fat ? the general concept speaks about between 30-45 minutes of moderate aerobic activity. The belief is that until then the energy calories stored in our muscles are used and only after this amount of time we start to burn fat.
Our answer- This is not correct. The training time is only one parameter to affect fat burning procedures in our body and certainly NOT the most significant one.
The next article gathers information from several researches focusing on high intensity interval training / exercise (HIIT or HIIE) of no more than 20 minutes a session that have contributed to up to 18% fat loss within several weeks.
The point behind it is that our body needs to be put in a stress position for short periods in time in order to reach out to the fat storage and use them.
According to other researches and experience when combining HIIT/HIIE and EMS the fat loss rates are much higher.
