We spotted a few Olympians at the 2024 World Rowing Masters Regatta. How about a double Olympic Champion? Nico Rienks of the ROEIEN.nl - KNRB raced this morning in a mixed eight - and guess what, his crew won their race! Still has it at 62 years old 😎

The "Octos" - rowers of 80 years of age and older - that are competing at the World Rowing Masters Regatta 2024 received a special medal tonight in Brandenburg. Then the World Rowing flag was passed on to Banyoles, Spain, host of the 2025 edition! Check the photos here 👇

RACING CANCELLED IN BRANDENBURG
Due to adverse weather conditions, racing has been cancelled in Brandenburg this afternoon at the 2024 World Rowing Masters Regatta.
We will continue to monitor the weather conditions for tomorrow, and may make further changes to the programme, should the conditions require.

The Friday session featured tricky conditions that challenged rowers’ strength and boat handling skills.

Hat’s off to all competitors and boat handlers for their strong performances! 💪

World Rowing - Day 3 emotions and finishes at the 2024 World Rowing Masters Regatta, Brandenburg, Germany

The 2024 World Rowing Beach Sprint Finals got underway on Friday in tricky conditions that challenged rowers’ strength and boat handling skills.

The day was full of time trials to determine who would progress to the weekend’s knockout rounds and there were impressive performances across the board.

The conditions meant that the second round of time trials had to be cancelled, and therefore the top 16 in each timetrial qualified for the knockout rounds.

🚨 2024 WORLD ROWING BEACH SPRINT FINALS🚨

Based on the latest weather forecast for tomorrow (Thursday 12 September), it has been decided:
🔴No training or racing tomorrow (Thursday 12 September). The beach will be closed. The venue will still be open for land training for athletes on ergos.
🔴Compressed schedule to have all racing Friday, Saturday, Sunday (no changes to “Last 8” finals or timings on Saturday and Sunday).

Edirne played host to the 2024 European Rowing Under 23 Championships last weekend. 15 nations came home with medals - and it was an incredible weekend for , with nine gold medals!
