Some impressions from last Sunday, from our chamber series opening night, this time at Lucerne's Museum of Art (Kunstmuseum Luzern) on the fourth floor of KKL Luzern. Fantastic job guys, many thanks to our splendid string quartet Yuta Takase, Daniel Meller, Sylvia Zucker, and Alexander Kionke. In a pre-concert surprise, young participants of Talentwoche Luzern in small groups presented music by Béla Bartók. See you at the 2nd concert on JAN 14 2024, 17:00 at Hotel Schweizerhof Luzern with Schubert - Pur featuring guest star Benjamin Appl who sings Schubert's gorgeous "Die schöne Müllerin" in a new version accompanied by string quartet.

Before the US tour ends some nice and exiting news from home. The new Deutsche Grammophon box that honors our co-founder Wolfgang Schneiderhan as an outstanding violinist of his generation is being shortlisted and won the Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik. The short list 4/2023 has been published yesterday. The 34 CD box includes all recordings for Deutsche Grammophon with orchestras as Berliner Philharmoniker and presents also the absolutely memorable early recordings with his orchestra Festival Strings Lucerne between 1957 and 1960. In Memoriam of Wolfgang Schneiderhan!

Many thanks to the Museo del Violino for this wonderful invitation, and to the public for their enthusiastic welcome🥰
See you soon Midori!
