Little appetite !

🔆Let’s warm up our stomach with these churros and its dippings.

A little bite through, you can feel a crispy crunchy texture of churros, plus a mild sweetness of a condensed milk dipping. Have we mentioned in the earlier post that you can choose your own dipping? Either you dip the churros with condensed milk dipping or pandan custard.

‼️Just be careful when you eat it, it can cause an addiction of this snack. We bet that you cannot stop eating it after all.

When you think about the perfect Thai morning, it involves a cup of coffee, tea, or a glass of hot fresh soy milk, and a plate of these crispy, airy Pa Tong Go (A Thai name for this snack).

🥛☕ Another suggestion : If you don't like sweet things in the morning , you can have them with a hot glass of fresh (soy) milk or black coffee.

Today...Special Menu ‘Streamed Bread with pandan custard’.
Starting from now on, you can come and discover the new Thai desserts.

We usually stream some bread to make it softer and dip in the special sauce, made out of pandan leaves, and its smell that is going to touch your nose before and after eating.

We call this menu ‘Kanom Pang Sangkaya’, Kanom Pang means bread and Sangkaya means Custard. Kanom pang Sangkaya is a dessert you can often find on the streets of Thailand during the night out and after party. It's a warm, creamy, custardy dip for bread made from coconut milk and pandan leaves.

This dessert has it all the mild sweet taste, rich creaminess of coconut milk, tender flavour and a devine taste that's going to make everyone happy.

❤️ Khanom Chan

💬Let’s us tell you the meanings of this Thai dessert. The first meaning that Thai people usually use to play a joke from its name is that ‘This is my snack’, so your friend can't touch it 😜 For sure, you can use this joke to play with your Thai friends by saying the snack name before you eat it, and they will laugh at your joke.

The second one and the true meaning of this name ‘Khanom Chan’ is the snack that has many layers on top of the others. When you try it, you can try to take it out and eat them layer by layer, you will see its meaning and what we are trying to say.

💬Think of these silky, chewy, coconutty gummies as richer, more flavorful Jello jigglers, made with a steamed batter of coconut milk with sticky rice flour and tapioca and arrowroot starches. It’s a labor of love: to form the neat layers, you have to let the previous layer steam enough until set but still a little tacky before adding the next.

Don’t wait it any longer, come and try at our Thai Dessert Café

This post is the continuation of the last post (Second Part of History)

🍵Cha Chak or Pulling tea method is the original method of Thai Tea Pulling. It exists long time ago in Thailand through Malaysian culture.

💬The pulling method used to make the tea is derived from Malaysia and is known as teh tarik. Teh is a Malay word meaning “tea” and tarik, also Malay means “to pull” or “pulled”. The repeated method of transferring the tea between cups served to cool and aerates the drink. It is said that this process is what makes the tea so flavourful. Once you watch the process you know why many consider it an art form!

💬The concept of the method is similar to bartender practice. You can add your own gimmicks in the process of tea pulling. The more you practice, the more you will become an expert of the Cha Chak method.

We would like to welcome you again and thank you for visiting us.

And here we go for a little historical class !

In the ancient time...

☕Caffe Boran or ancient coffee is as rich and sweet as it is synonymous with Thailand. This is the Thailand of street side cafés early mornings Pa thong kor and a slow, relaxed pace of life.

💬It’s a local tradition. Developed during WWII, it was the answer to scarce—and expensive—coffee. In order to reduce consumption, grains were added during the roasting process.

💬Ground coffee is put in a cotton bag filter or a ‘sock filter’ and steeped in boiling water. Sweetened, condensed, or evaporated milk is then added.

Perfect fit for cold weather 😉

When the weather starts to be cold, you will need something to warm up your body.

What would you think of as the first thing when the body and hands are getting cold ?
🍵Tea
☕️Coffee
🥛Hot Milk
🍫Hot chocolate

We have everything here at IOCHA, even better ! We suggest you the warm Thai Churros and a cup of hot coffee (Thai Black Coffee). You can simply take away without any mess and wasting time. Sip a cup of coffee on the way to work.Or aren’t you a coffee type ? We also have a Hot Cha Yen, which you can choose your preferable toppings, sweetness level and type of milk.

Because we care in every detail of our customers - Your joy is our joy.

🤩Looking for an alternative to banana bread? We recommend the Khao Tom Mud, an aromatic and sweet snack that comes in a cute little leaf pouch and popular in almost every city and village in Thailand. Don’t be deceived or daunted by the prep time–most of it is attributed to soaking the rice in water!

🤓No wonder why you should try this Khao Tom Mud. With time of preparation, it’s already worth your stomach. It will be perfect as your breakfast or quick lunchtime. You can forget your sandwich and replace it with this banana bread.

28/09/2021

🍵When we go to a Thai restaurant, Thai people usually order Thai Iced Tea during lunch or dinner. Because how can we NOT have Thai iced tea when we eat Thai food? It’s one of those decant “dessert” drinks that helps soothe the burn when we overload on too much of Thai spice.

🗝The secret of tradition recipe for Cha Yen or Thai Iced Tea is how many minutes you give for getting the brew tea before you mix it with milk.

💬All traditional street cafés usually use this Reuse-able Cloth filter for getting the brew tea mix. You will need time and patient for getting the tea ready. On top of that, we can tell you that it’s not everyone can use this equipment, skills and know-how are needed as well.

Another surprise for everyone 🤗

🔅Sandwich Cha Thai Custard🔅

If you have tried our pandan custard, there is no doubt in this one. This is something similar, but it is the best one for a takeaway break.

We replaced the main ingredient like pandan leaves to be Thai Black Tea, which gives the aromatic sense of Thai tea. The mind sweetness with soft grilled bread, something that can warm up your stomach.

You can finish your break with a cup of bubble milk tea.

Recharge your energy with bread and tea 🧋
