Sepios is a student project at ETH Zürich, aiming to design a nautical robot with sepia inspired fins. We are a student robotics project at ETH Zürich.
We are aiming to design an efficient and environment friendly alternative to propellers for underwater locomotion. The use of undulating fins inspired by cuttlefish for thrust generation enables our robot to move omnidirectionally. High manoeuvrability and low disturbance allow for new applications in research, marine life filming, offshore engineering and many more. Our team is looking to set a new trend for underwater vehicles and inspire future students to embrace engineering.

Finally, all our Bachelor theses are finished and we are preparing to go to Austin Texas to present our robot at NI-week.

Don't miss to visit us tomorrow, 27th of May, at our big Roll-Out-Event in Zürich!
Starting at 14.00 with the presentations of this year's focusprojects at Audimax (HG F30).
Followed by an Apéro-riche and our live demo in a pool right in front of the ETH mainbuilding from 16.00 to 18.00.
As interests are high (especially for the presentations), we recommend to arrive a bit early to gather a seat. However, there will also be a video transmission to a secondary lecture room as signposted.
