This is great news and an official announcement now, about the new product the Pre, the latest brainchild from the LampizatOr stables. It is important to understand the concept correctly, as it presents itself visually, like a POSEIDON Dac twin, but despite this mirror-like presence, it is an entirely different design.

.. let you know that finally after all birth pains - we released the Poseidon preamplifier and we decided to change the name to the NEPTUNE god of the sea - to distinguish it from the DAC.

NEPTUNE is a balanced active line stage representing the best of what we are capable of.
We never had a better preamp and I hope it serves as a great line stage.

The NEPTUNE is not like Poseidon minus digital board because NEPTUNE has three triodes in series (3- stages) versus one stage in the Poseidon when used as a preamp.

The next development will be adding the VP-4 MC phono as a card inside Neptune linestage to make a full feature preamp.

In a review for his online 'Audiophile Magazine' French journalist Joël Chevassus offered the MU2 his ‘Supreme Award’, “because of its excellent quality/price ratio, rarely matched at these budgets.”

“What immediately impressed me was the stereo image. It is surgically precise, opening up the soundstage enormously - very wide and deep. When a device offers such a large and three-dimensional image, you often loose focus in the image. But for the MU2 that’s clearly not the case. Instruments are very precisely in focus. It's quite incredible how the Grimm Audio streamer-DAC manages to achieve such stability."
