Hello, I am Obelle Victor Ebune from BUEA, CAMEROON. I am a fully funded participant and I will be attending the UNIVERSITY LECTURES ON PEACE IN AFRICA 4th edition 2023 at Mountain Hotel Buea which shall take place on the 23th and 24th February 2023.
Together with other participants, we will be receiving lectures from national and international speakers on "Peace In Africa" The "University Lectures on Peace in Africa builds in youths the nature of peace and leadership for a peaceful Africa in general.
With a peaceful mind, there is a peaceful world

The students of the University of Buea👨🏼‍🎓👩🏻‍🏫 attended yet another epic of an outstanding event organized by the University of Buea UNESCO Club, at the hall 🏢"U-BLOCK D" on Sunday 15th March 2022, with three great personalities in attendance.( 👩🏼‍⚖️Mme. MOFA Melvis "Geriatric Nurse, Founder and President of Positive Health and aging Accusation Cameroon🇨🇲." 👨🏽‍⚖️Mr. LUKONG Lesley "Program Officer at the American Space" 👨🏽‍⚖️Mr. YUNICKAR Robert "Senior hardware Engineer, UNESCO Youth Ambassador".
It was a triple🗣️ theme, focused on "How to plan a Daily Routine, Taking care of the Elderly in our communities and a successful community Mapping Exercise". 🌍🕊️
Due to the numerous achievements recorded by the club in the organization of similar events, the importance of students having project oriented mind-set for Entrepreneurial opportunities, the need for students to know, understand and apply Mechanisms of Sustainable Development, the need for students to have a better organizational mechanism, in addition, the need for students to experience Academic Excellence, the need for students to have community driven initiatives and creating community awareness. All these reasons and more contributed to the mobilization of the UB UNESCO CLUB to organize this event with the theme carefully chosen to fit the state of affairs in collaboration with it's Technical Partners such as

After great anticipation from both the organising committee and the students in general, participant arrived at the the venue from all directions as early as passed midday, the hot 🔥 sunshine experienced on that day couldn't stop 🛑 these students from attending such an enriching ceremony 🎑 and the smile 😍 smiles read on their faces said it all. After the arrival and installation of the participants and Trainees, a prayer 🙇🏽‍♂️ was said and the agenda revealed.
The floor was then given to 👨🏽‍⚖️Mr. LUKONG for his talk, he noted with a talk on how University students can plan and apply their daily routine. The following points were noted.👨🏻‍🎓
🕊️ Setting of Daily, weekly, Monthly and yearly goals.
🕊️ Setting Academic and Socio-Economic objectives
🕊️ Developing good studying Environments
🕊️ Developing good studying Mechanisms
🕊️ Discipline, Patience and Endurance
🕊️ Respect of the Routine and Engagement mechanism each time they are disrespected
🕊️ Hardware and Dedication
🕊️ Consistency
🕊️ Always Pray 🙏.

The next speaker was 👩🏼‍⚖️Mme MOFA Melvis who through a Video conference spoke on the importance of students to care for the Elderly as a whole and their Grand Parents in particular.
She highlighted the sentences below. 👇🏽
🕊️ The Wisdom Possessed by these Elders
🕊️ The right of the Elderly
🕊️ The need for their protection against isolation and depression.
🕊️ Becoming an Elderly is by God's grace 🙇🏽‍♂️
🕊️ Responsible health and hygienic Action while in the young age.
🕊️ Advocacy for positive and healthy aging
🕊️ Blessings in protection of Elderly against community ills such as epidemics.

Mr. YUNICKAR Robert who was the last speaker, exposed on the methods and ways to successfully carry out a community Mapping Exercise. The following was pen down. ✍🏼

✍🏼 Identification of the community problems
✍🏼 Engaging Stakeholders in proposing solutions
✍🏼 Promoting the spirit of Togetherness
✍🏼 Improving on the Psychology of the Community members vis a vis their problems
✍🏼 Volunteering to organize ceremonies where the community is invited for a talk.
✍🏼 Engaging in community Development Responsibilities.
At the end🔚 , the floor was open for both the crowed and the Panel of Journalist to ask their prepared questions ⁉️ , and by God's 🕊️ own divine blessings, all the questions were answered to the satisfaction of every single participant.

Furthermore, we had a few challenges, such as poor internet connection for the video conference, poor lighting and sound systems, communication difficulties, lack of a projector which could ease the passing of information, financial constraint which could have brought better organisation.

Great impact was made on students and the Club in particular projecting UNESCO💡 as an organisation for students Empowerment, this was one of the most exciting event organized by the Club due to the nature of the guest present on that said date as students learnt a lot and promised to apply the knowledge.
We had refreshments and a closing prayer 🙏 followed by a Photo session and next departure 🛫 of participants.

An outstanding event organized by the University of Buea UNESCO Club at the great Amphi 250 on Sunday 08th March 2022. This event which added to the list of activities successfully organized by the Club, saw the presence of Mr. Epah Nyuckechen, a graduate from the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences Université de Buéa, Peace 🕊️ Advocate and member of Cameroon Youth Parliament.
The theme: Project Management (Création, planning, Exécution, and the need to create great impact for Sustainable development). It was very interesting as students showed interest keenly in all the presentations that where made .
The Club is grateful to Hon. EPAH M. Nyuckechen for making time for us, the event created so much impact on to students as a whole, the Club in particular and projecting UNESCO as an organisation for student Empowerment.
Activities.
Participants arrived the venue, the guest was was welcomed in to the hall by the president of the UNESCO Club with exclamations from the crowed present. The agenda was revealed and as usual, a prayer 🙏 was said for a successful ceremony.🎑.
All the participant were given the opportunity, to present themselves pointing out their Classes, Faculties, Department as well as, their aspirations in life.
The floor was then given to Mr. EPAH for his talk, he noted with great appreciation and humidity, the different aspirations of the students encouraging them to follow the right path.
He deliberated on the themes which students keenly followed and copying what was being said, the following 👇🏽 points were recorded as well.

Students of the University of Buea were thrilled in another epic and outstanding event, organized by the University of Buea UNESCO Club, at the FET Building on Wednesday the 15th April 2022. This event which added to the list of the activities successfully organized by the Club, saw the presence of Mr. Oben Desmond ( Senior Software Engineer, CEO of HEC and member of Cameroon Youth Parliament).

It was a great success and a wonderful experience on our first workshop in the University of Buea.
Our workshop was headed by the lady in our mist ( Miss. Sakinatou ).
