CLOU Patterns: the grids and spirals Sanya Farm Lab.
The multi-functional research compound is enriched by public outdoor spaces on all levels, with feature circulation – a spiral staircase as well as the bleachers of a theatre knitting - interior and external spaces together. A deep roof grid provides shade and shelter, and at the same time ensures natural ventilation and an open view.

How to create cities that make people happy?
We all want to live in happy cities. But what does it mean for a city to be happy? And how can architecture play a role in creating more joyful and livable communities? In this talk, we will argue that architecture has a powerful impact on our happiness and well-being. The buildings and spaces we inhabit can shape our moods, our relationships, and our overall quality of life. We will discuss the key principles of architecture for happiness, such as inside and outside spaces, colour, and social interaction. We will also share examples of CLOU’s real-world projects that are putting these principles into practice to create happier and healthier communities.

Starry Street positions itself in the newly planned Wuhou District of south-west Chengdu, at the intersection of two main roads and two new metro lines which connect this area directly to the city centre.
A programmatic mix of retail with high density residential and SOHO apartments requires a variety of volumetric scales that call for careful arrangement in order to balance the mass of six towers with public space, avoid canyon-like retail amongst high towers, and prevent sound and light interference between the

The grid structure (in Finnish wood) shapes diverse spaces – galleries, atrium-like spaces and informal exhibition spaces beyond the physical confines of the building. The design serves as a symbol for a dynamic 21st-century city by shifting the boundaries between open and closed, urban and art, and by creating new opportunities to display, link and create art within the city.
EXPO 2020 Chile Pavillion
CLOU envisions the Chilean Pavilion for Expo Dubai 2020, exploring the topography of Chile, its mountains, peaks, and volcanoes, as a transversal element to all places in Chile. The mountain range embraces and shelters local communities, instilling a strong sense of identity in the people who live there.
The circulation is designed to take visitors on a journey to the volcano's interior, beginning with a tour on the ramp and ending with a spacious multipurpose gallery on the inside, which features an exhibition of a Chilean mine. The spiralling circulation concludes on the rooftop, where there is an exhibition space and a shaded sky plaza.

CLOU Archive: Taipei Pop Music Center.
We have achieved a balanced dichotomy by creating a connection of buildings to satisfy the institutional demands of the centre; namely to produce, market, and celebrate the industry. In contrast but also in support of this structure, the landscape stands clear of regulation. It is here that we envision the natural, human, and organic moments, which truly create culture through conversation and interaction. The proximity of these spaces will bring each’s attention to the other, creating tension but also perhaps a synergy.
These beautiful illustrations walk us through different parts of the Kaohsiung Maritime Culture & Pop Music Center: The Forest, The Bridge, The Marina, The Village and The Lookout.
Render vs Reality: UniFun Tianfu Chengdu.
Inspired by the Rubik’s Cube aesthetic, UniFun’s Façades feature a simple module that expands across various combinations. White pixel clusters featuring red details create interchanging spatial and visual effects, blending into the geometric surroundings.
Li Lin, Director of CLOU/Shanghai Office Director, was invited to participate in the lecture and dialogue event "RG the People and Things" hosted by Roca Gallery Shanghai.
Guests such as the founders of other well-known design companies in the industry went to the appointment with their own small items, put aside their baggage, and started chatting about the "little things" that touch emotions and physical senses, creating a conversation between "life" and "business". Garsanhu unfolds in space, presenting to everyone the most real and vivid architects in life and their designs. The following is a highlight review of the day’s event.
CLOU Archive: model for Guggenheim Helsinki.
The design aims to function as a translator between the urban condition, the public, and the museum spaces. The existing urban edges of the city context define a triangular building mass. Lifting the main exhibition space allows the public and the museum programme to float freely underneath, creating a continuous connection between the urban fabric and water.
CLOU Models: Kaisa Zhuhai Organic Farm.
Between richly hued fields and mountainous farmland, a variety of slow life experiences gather around a scenic lotus lake: an organic restaurant is complemented by experiential greenhouses, a produce market, workshop and recreation pavilions, a museum, a library with a homestay.
