Next week we are hosting our first Innovation Festival at QSI Dongguan. We look forward to having a lot of fun activities for students and welcome parents on campus Thursday to participate in activities with their child(ren) and Friday to join the school assembly.

Next week is our Innovation Festival. We invited students and families to create a robot for our Innovation Challenge. Robots are on display in our lobby. The robots are so creative and innovative.

Our 10YO students took their learning outside the classroom today. Getting inspired to write poetry from a new location. Can't wait to read the poems they write during their poetry unit.

We held an exciting whole school assembly this week. Our 5YO, 6YO, 7YO's performed "Count on Me" to demonstrate Concern for Others which is one of our school’s Success Orientations. We celebrated the students who submitted writing to the school-wide writing contest, and our Beta club and PSG handed over a check for 25,000rmb that was raised during our Winter Wonderland annual fundraiser to their selected charity.

Telling the time is an important skill to be taught to children. Our 7-year-olds are spending time in class to learn about time to enhance their telling time skills to the minute.

Our 11-year-old students were busy using their math skills to make delicious cookies and show Mastery of their learning.

Winter Concerts are happening next week at QSID December 14 & December 15. Come join in the festivities and enjoy some cookies and hot cocoa while listening to our amazing students.

Maths is important for success in all our lives. If we look around, we see maths everywhere in our daily lives. This includes telling time, cooking, shopping, problem solving and even games. Our students learn math in a variety of ways and from different techniques daily.

Reading to young children is an important way to help build language skills. Our preschoolers love going to the library to listen to books being read by their teacher and looking through books on their own.

We are very proud of our students who participated in the World Scholar's Cup Shenzhen Round 2023 this past weekend. Student's brought home on average six medals individually and a total of eight trophies! All of the students were invited to the global round that will be held later in the year. Congratulations to our students and advisors for all of your preparation and hard work!!

Winter Wonderland will take place at QSID on Saturday, November 25th from 1:30pm - 6:pm. We hope you will join in on our fun event.

Our 12 & 13-year-old technology students are busy identifying key internal components of computers. They are working hard to design 3D computer component dioramas that they will label with the names of the components.

Our 9 and 10-year-old Intensive English students have just competed writing scary stories. Turning off the lights and using a flashlight to share their stories made for a great morning of reading and sharing.

We are looking forward to having Khadijah Mia visit QSD and join us for our upcoming teacher professional development on November 17 and 18.

QSID is looking forward to our Annual winter Wonderland & Festive Market on Saturday, November 25, 2023. This festive event brings our school community together for a day filled with delicious food, live performances, a silent auction, and even a visit from Santa. This wonderful event is a fundraiser for our BETA club to donate to selected charities. We look forward to welcoming friends, families, and community members to this event on Saturday, November 25, 2023.

It was a very busy weekend for our QSID athletes. They all did a great job and made our school proud!

Our Secondary PE-Team Sports students got outside to play some Ultimate Frisbee.

Spirit Week is right around the corner. During the week of October 23-27, lets show off our school spirit!

Our cooking club is off to a great start. This past week they enjoyed baking brownies and of course eating them too.
