BU，which was established in February, 1950, is a comprehensive university administered by Liaoning Provincial Government. BU is in Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province, China. Jinzhou is a seaside city with long history and cultural tradition.
It covers 2,250 Chinese mu (approximately equaling 1,500,000 square meters) of land area, and more than 600,000 square meters of floor area. BU has established 19 sub-level colleges administering 48 programs for bachelor's degree. It owns 18 Level-1 programs for master's degree, 7 programs for professional master's degree, and those programs cover economics, laws, education, humanities, history, philosophy, science, engineering, agriculture, management, arts, etc. There are now more than 21,900 full-time postgraduates and undergraduates at Bohai University.

CJLU is a university distinctive for its metrology, standards, quality, market regulation, inspection and quarantine. Its predecessor is Hangzhou Metrology School established by the State Metrology Bureau in 1978. CJLU was upgraded to China Institute of Metrology with the approval of Ministry of Education in 1985 and renamed as China Jiliang University in 2016. CJLU has been jointly supported by the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province and the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China since 2017.
CJLU offers master’s degrees in 15 disciplines in Category I and 10 professional disciplines. CJLU has 18 colleges (departments) and one independent college. There are over 15,000 full-time undergraduates and over 1,950 full-time postgraduates at CJLU, and over 5,700 undergraduates at its independent college.
CJLU has over 1,300 full-time faculty members, among whom nearly 700 hold senior professional and technical positions, and 70% have earned doctoral degrees. Yanbian University is located in Yanji City, the capital of Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province, which enjoys the reputation of "Hometown of Education". Shanxi University established in 1902, is in Taiyuan, the capital of Shanxi province, which has a history of 2,500 years. The school itself can be traced back to Sanli College, of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), and Jinyang College and Lingde College, of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). In its early period, the school worked on integrating Chinese culture and Western culture and the arts and sciences. It had great flexibility in its management and advanced educational ideas, and was a cradle of higher education in China and a crucial center of culture, science, and education in Shanxi province for more than 100 years.
It survived the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression (1931-1945), was relocated during the War of Liberation (1945-1949) and had a restructuring in 1953. Throughout all this, it maintained its tradition of “Knowing both East and West, seeking goodness and truth, valuing virtue and talent, and strengthening oneself and serving the country. OUC is a comprehensive university with particular strengths in oceanography and fisheries science. We have four campuses – Yushan, Fushan, Laoshan and Huangdao, which is currently under construction – all of which are united under our motto “Ocean embraces all streams; exploring promises reaching far.”
OUC was one of the first universities approved to confer undergraduate and postgraduate degrees by the State Academic Degree Committee and it now offers courses in science, engineering, agronomy (fisheries), pharmaceutics, economics, management, liberal arts, law, education, history, and art. In 2017 it was included in China’s plan of building “Double First-Rate” universities, having previously also been on the list of “Project 985” universities (a list of China’s top 40 universities) and “Project 211” institutions (of China’s top 100 universities). It is now the recipient of significant national and provincial support and funding, which supports its bid to become a world class university.
